Re: Flu vaccines dangerous?

If you want to tackle this rationally, you might want to look into the amounts of metals you get from the flu vaccine and then if you still feel like you should avoid it then you should know you're not being rational.

Re: E-Scape Bio event, late June, San Francisco

From reading the tea leaves it seems like E-Scape are going to clinical trials with an S1P5 receptor agonist early next year, but that the APOE4 structure corrector isn't getting there before 2020 at the earliest. http://e-scapebio.com/news/releases/e-scape-bio-appoints-julie-anne-smith-president-an...

Re: Lectins and their benefits

Certainly that is your choice. But are you aware Dr Bredesen advocates eliminating gluten. In his book, The End of Alzheimer's on page 46 of 308, kindle location 706 of 4911 he provides a list of foods containing high gluten to which he writes, "all of which are to be avoided as much as possib...

Re: Gundry Soda

Other than being bad for your teeth it's very difficult to imagine it would have any effect or benefit. Imagine a bit harder! Or just do a PubMed search. The effects are small and not too impressive and probably all are a result of delayed gastric emptying. But still. Either way, the fluid I prefer...

Re: Gundry Soda

I didn't say it's like drinking as much sweetened soda. Right, you didn't say those exact words. What you actually said was much stronger: Drinking this drink would be (1) the same as drinking soda You're right. It would have been more accurate to say it's exactly like drinking less soda. (assuming...

Re: Gundry Soda

I thought balsamic vinegar died with sundried tomatoes and the nineties. :)

Apple cider vinegar, like most non-fancy vinegar, is water with 7% acetic + malic acid and some trace flavonoids. Other than being bad for your teeth it's very difficult to imagine it would have any effect or benefit.

Re: Gundry Soda

when someone makes a claim such as "Diet soda increases risk of diabetes by 67%" - a claim which is (1) baseless Actually, I think Dr Gundry was referring to this study Diet Soda Intake and Risk of Incident Metabolic Syndrome and Type 2 Diabetes in the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosi...

Re: Gundry Soda

While we're talking about baseless and obviously false statements, let's examine this argument. Paraphrasing: "Balsamic vinegar's sugar concentration is high; therefore, a beverage consisting of 2 T of balsamic vinegar in a glass of mineral water is just like commercial soda pop." Of cour...

Re: Gundry Soda

See, when someone makes a claim such as "Diet soda increases risk of diabetes by 67%" - a claim which is (1) baseless and (2) obviously false, there's no reason to keep watching. I'm assuming he later on goes and suggests a drink made of sparkling water and balsamic vinegar which for all i...

Re: How many of us have Frank's Sign?

The correlation between having an earlobe crease and being a male aged over 50s is second only to the correlation between it and being such a male who also smokes. This makes it very hard to establish a causal relationship with CAD and has led to many conflicting studies, although of course anything...
