Re: Ketogenic Diet: Transitioning, Experiences, Reasons, Cautions ...
Can anyone comment on the advisability of a vegetarian keto diet in someone who already has osteoporosis? I have mild diabetes, on metformin, have one copy of apoe4. My mom had AD. I would like to lose weight and keep my blood sugars under better control. Thanks. Why? Is it for ethical reasons? And...

Re: Ketogenic Diet: Transitioning, Experiences, Reasons, Cautions ...
Thanks everyone for the support and suggestions! Some things I'm currently trying: [*]Getting more potassium into my diet. I've started using the Cronometer, which has been really insightful. As I suspected, potassium's looking low. Magnesium seems fine, but of course I don't know how much I'm abso...

Re: Ketogenic Diet: Transitioning, Experiences, Reasons, Cautions ...
Thanks simonh01, it seems like I need to start getting serious about supplements. I'll take it one by one and see how it goes. Potassium's first up — I'm going to work on getting more from dietary sources (seems difficult; I'm almost definitely not hitting the RDA right now) and top up with a suppl...

Re: CSF Ferritin predicts cognitive decline in E4s
HI Great topic, I have not read all this but can we confirm: 1. Are we talking about a different measure of Ferritin or just plain old ferritin? 2. If ferritin is elevated is it most likely due to it being an acute phase reactant to inflammation. 3. Reduce the inflammation reduce the ferritin. It's...

Iron Sat < 30% Also the Ferritin of 27 is low I would want it over 5...

You're borderline iron deficient, I wouldn't stress about it but you are definitely below the ranges I would be happy with.

This is a great article and perspective by Robb Wolf on ketone readings and why perhaps you shouldn't be chasing a number.

And oh by the way, his CBD product is called NatureCBD, the ingredients are: Hybrid-nanoengineered CBD – 10 mg, Curcumin 100 mg, Magnesium 100 mg, Lemon Balm 90 mg, Ashwagandha 100 mg Pretty sure he is going to stop selling this product because of all the legal hassles. It is pretty expensive as we...
