Re: Plasmalogens- exciting new evidence

One thing you could consider trying, now that you feel sure you need all five components, would be halving them one by one just to check whether you need doses as high as you’re using. Good advice. I've discontinued or reduced several other supplements in response to my reaction to this new combo. ...

Re: Plasmalogens- exciting new evidence

Matt - how’s the Prodrome trial going? I finally stumbled on this idea and saw your posts. Are you still taking it? Any new thoughts? I see it’s $299 for a bottle is that good for a month or do you take more than recommended. Jason, welcome aboard! I am responding fantastically to Prodrome-Neuro. :...

Re: Plasmalogens- exciting new evidence

I have obtained samples of research use only raw plasmalogen precursor from Prodrome Sciences (the final product is still in development). I am writing this post to document my experience so far with this raw material. 1) Enhanced energy starting shortly after ingestion and lasting for a few hours. ...

Re: Plasmalogens- exciting new evidence

Since desaturase is the final conversion step of Prodrome-Neuro to plasmalogen and I am homozygous for many, many FADS2 and FADS1 SNPs, will these SNPs result in less plasmalogen per fixed dose of Prodrome-Neuro?

Re: Plasmalogens- exciting new evidence

Connecting some dots: Low membrane plasmalogens correlates with dementia and inorganic mercury makes cell membranes more rigid by preferentially damaging plasmalogens. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0005273617301062 https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0005273617304...

Re: URGENT: Biomarker Study Opportunity for ApoE4.Info Members

I'm posting here in case you decide to mine this post for participants. I can afford to enroll 2 participants for 2 years. I'm e2/e4 and the other family member would be e2/e3.

Re: High triglycerides in ketosis

Thanks for adding to this post. I agree that my fat intake is out of balance. My plan, given the feedback that I have received, is to lower my fat intake, and up my PP compliant vegetable intake. I will use CRON-O-meter to check the balance of my new meals. As far as the BHB goes, I have felt best w...

Re: High triglycerides in ketosis

Andru: I am doing keto+IF because I am an APOE4 carrier with multiple genetic variants that correlate with T2D. My insulin sensitivity is way up from where it was 6 months ago. 6 months ago my weekly sweet potato refeed would have been followed by symptoms like peripheral neuropathy. This is no long...

High triglycerides in ketosis

Obviously I'm doing it wrong. I have been adhering to a high EVOO, low saturated fat, ketogenic diet with 20 hours of intermittent fasting for 6 months and my triglycerides are 163. My triglycerides have been around 60 since they were first tested more than a decade ago. My triglycerides were...
