Re: Postmenopausal--anyone here NOT on bioidenticals?
Oh, ok. Thank you. That is very helpful. I was wondering because I was on Alvogen generic for a year and it seemed fine, though occasionally came off. Then suddenly last month they gave me the Mylan. I assumed it was the same or similar. The month's worth only lasted me two weeks, though, because tw...

Re: Postmenopausal--anyone here NOT on bioidenticals?
Hi! Thank you for your reply! I'll get some surgical tape. Does anyone use Mylan or another generic and have a suggestion on which generic is best? I was on a different generic, but the pharmacy no longer carries that one, which worked fine.

Re: Postmenopausal--anyone here NOT on bioidenticals?
Hello! It's me, Nancy, an old member. Been busy. I am healing well from my brain surgery. I stayed on the estrogen patch for the past year since my surgery, but had quit the progesterone for about 10 months due to having researched and found possible link to brain meningioma (what I had). BUT, it tu...

Seaweed, that's great that you know yourself. Knowing what works best for us really helps. Starting early like you are will be very beneficial, too.

Re: How strictly do you adhere to a prevention lifestyle?
Btw, since most of us are concerned about brain health, I thought I'd mention that ionizing radiation has been found to be a cause of meningioma brain tumors (the type I had). You get ionizing radiation to your brain through multiple xrays (like too many dental xrays) and ct scans. If you want to ha...

Re: How strictly do you adhere to a prevention lifestyle?
I think it's great that you're making these wise changes and thinking deeply about the situation. You'll do very well by following the protocol at such a young age. I'm 50 years old. I found out about my status about 2 years ago, a bit less. I began the protocol and stuck to it well. I felt much bet...

Re: Coffee vs Tea and Homocysteine
I just finished Bredesen’s new book and was wondering the same thing. I was considering switching to tea, as it is listed as a better option than coffee. It is a “green light” choice in the food chart. My homocysteine isn’t too bad but my hsCRP is.

Re: Blood Work Results
Selenium can help with thyroid issues. Iodine may help you, it's worth a try. Also, avoiding raw broccoli and similar goitrogen containing veggies (artichokes, brussel sprouts, cabbage, kale). I know these are very healthful foods so I eat them anyway, steamed, which removes at least some or most of...
