Re: Study: why the APOE4 gene enhances Alzheimer’s risk; choline reverses
Of course, this doesn't necessarily indicate that slamming down eggs and various flavors of choline supplements necessarily improves lipid balances in astrocytes in actual human brains functioning in the complicated federation of human and non-human cells that constitute our bodies. Well put. I do ...

Re: A strange tale on supplemtation
I was obviously naive about the mixing of the adaptagens...I took them consistently with 1000 mg L tryptophan for at least 10 weeks. I will check my MAO SNP when I get back from my travels....many good points made. I definitely didn't listen to my body closely enough...hey I was feeling really groovy!

Re: A strange tale on supplemtation
Honestly Kitano I'm not sure...I think it was the whole mix...actually as SAMe is a methyl donor and it probably was the most benign. I think the herbals, ashwaganda, bacopa, rodiola, together with the L-tryptophan were the culprits...but who knows? Cycling could maybe ward of the danger too. I'm be...

A strange tale on supplemtation
Some of you may know that I'm travelling Asia for a few months. So here is a tale part wonderous, part downright hair raising scary. As I started my trip about 90 days ago first visiting family in Germany and Switzerland I brought with me "all" my supplements in which I had put great faith...

Re: An opportunity to participate in an E4 trial
I've been out of the loop awhile, but this seems like huge news, albeit still very priliminary. Amazing how Nicely it dovetails with Perlmutter's protocol.

Re: New Paper on CR/Ketosis & Neurodegeneration
How is everyone measuring their ketone levels..those that are that is ? The urine strips that measure acetone are pretty much useless. The blood meter strips are crazy expensive. Anyone tried the breath meter Ketonix advertised on Jimmy Moore's website?

Re: Carb Nite
How deep in ketosis to go and whether to shock the system through occasional carb loading, are all really fundamental questions. Richard Nikoley's arguments against perpetual ketosis is sobering. I think we are all obviously swimming in uncharted waters. N=1 testing may be all we can do for now. Per...

Re: Determining right level of alcohol consumption
After years of heavy drinking if not downright alcohol abuse I have stopped completely as of eight months ago. I agree with GB that here in Europe it is a bit socially awkward...but it is a small price to pay for having my sobriety. I believe I read a study ( can't find it ) that APO E4's have a hig...
