While a Fly Sleeps, Its Glia Burn Neuronal Lipids to Refresh the Brain

https://www.alzforum.org/news/research-news/while-fly-sleeps-its-glia-burn-neuronal-lipids-refresh-brain This is a really great overview of a mechanistic paper showing how neurons generate oxidized lipids, the lipids are shuttled to astrocytes (glia cells) that take up, the glia form lipid droplets,...

Re: has anyone tried semax?

I've used Semax. It was recommended to me by a doctor. But I also have a complicating factor like a head injury/TBI. It worked for me, but I'm wary of taking any hormones, pro-hormone (excluding vitamin d), or peptides for any lengthy period of time. And when I say it worked, I only mean it was bene...

Re: Homotaurine (tramiprosate) appears to be a structure corrector

Aphorist. Good question. The Alzheon studies didn't look at different time of day dosing. I'm not sure it would make a huge difference, but, like you, I haven't yet fully digested the Nemergut paper. I'm aiming for the apoE4 structure corrector function, which makes me want to take homotaurine thro...

Does anyone know how to be tested for P. Gingivalis? Additionally, I found these interesting papers re: P Gingivalis Kobayashi, R., Oral administration of Lactobacillus gasseri SBT2055 is effective in preventing Porphyromonas gingivalis-accelerated periodontal disease.
