I love ice cream. I came across Soy Delicious Sugar Free ice cream and thought it might be too good to be true. Here's from a review: So Delicious Dairy Free No Added Sugar Ice Cream emerge. It’s naturally-sweetened with erythritol and monk fruit extract, and contains just 1 gram of sugar per servin...

Re: Ashwagandha, Curcumin and Other Amyloid Interfering Supplements
Does anyone have a gauge or has tried the Terry Natural brand of Curcumin? it's a higher dose than the Natural Factors brand I was taking. I know this is a complicated supplement to decipher because of absorption but thought I'd ask. Thanks.

Which Curcumin brand to buy
I saw the exciting results of the recent study of curcumin. In the article it says it gave adults 90mg twice a day. But finding a listing of pure curcumin is hard -- it's normally a blend or a complex so it's hard to know how much is really in there. Does anyone have more information on what brand o...

Re: Permissable Snacks...??
These are great suggestions, thanks!
What about baby carrots? I've been eating them EVERYDAY with hummus -- and I'm realizing they might be too high in sugar. It says high glycemic index but low on glycemic load. Hmm. Is nothing sacred?? Maybe celery instead of carrots.

Permissable Snacks...??
I love popcorn and I'd love to snack on some but have avoided it because I heard it was inflammatory. Curious how it affects us? Is it totally taboo? How does it affect our insulin? Secondly, I'm hoping to add some new healthy snacks to my diet other than my usual: olives, pickles, hummus, Mary's cr...

Pickles and other beneficial foods...?
Julie told me some pickles are good for the brain but I forgot the brand she suggested. Does anyone know their pickles? Are all of them good for us? And what other types of food aid in combating the disease? I know what to avoid (believe me) -- just not sure what to add.
Thanks in advance!

Re: If you should choose to drink alcohol -- which is best?
Thanks, Everybody! Really helpful suggestions. Yeah, I've learned that they're all pretty low when it comes to sugar - which I'm trying to avoid. So it's mostly been beer and a mixed drink (with sparkling water.) But I have cut down quite a bit. And G -- I am not Apoe4 but I have taken a hit memory ...

Re: If you should choose to drink alcohol -- which is best?
Thank you Gilgamesh! I saw a neurologist a few years ago and when I pressed him on wanting to continue drinking -- he said to stick to red wine, but only have a glass or two per week or something like that. So I mostly drank red wine (and let's say a bit more than level he was suggesting) -- though ...
