Re: Please help!! with posting

I tried twice today to send a private message but it did not go through. It was fairly long and I also tried to save it as a draft before hitting the submit button which just deleted it. And yes, it indicates that it recognized me as being logged in .

Help please!!

Re: Diet help. Please post what is working for you!

Slacker, Thanks so much for the explanations. I have read Stavia's primer and its excellent. I will try to be as patient with myself as you have learned to be with yourself, but as a 72 yr old with a sister who has AD and having recently learned that I'm homozygous APOE4, I'm feeling a great sense o...

Re: Diet help. Please post what is working for you!

Juliegee, George and Mimi, Thanks again for generously sharing all of your knowledge. You all sound like you have degrees in Biochemistry. Its hard for me to follow not knowing what all the letters stand for. And my primary care doctor, at Kaiser never does tests for Cortisol and some of the other t...

Re: Diet help. Please post what is working for you!

Thank you everyone for your discussions and explanations. The question about the Bullet Coffee, was because I didn't think I could make it through my exercise class after 14-15 hrs of fasting. I'm very used to drinking a lot of strong coffee. So someone suggested that I just drink a cup of Bullet Co...

Re: Diet help. Please post what is working for you!

Juliegee, thank you for sharing your protocol. It seems a bit overwhelming at this point. I found out that I am APOE4/4 the week of my 72nd birthday and while I hate the thought, I may have to be as strict as you, given my age. I knew I as at risk for CVD as evidenced by my family history, so since ...

Re: 23andme and Ancestry - differing reports

Life Extension www.LifeExtension.com also now has a test for APOE4. Its a cheek swab.

Are cheek swabs considered less conclusive than blood tests? I had my test ( for free) through Gene Search and found that I was 4/4.

Thanks for sharing the info.

Re: CAD106 and CNP520

Thanks NF 52 for your informative post! Yes, I have already met with the team at Georgetown, Westley, Brigid Reynolds, and Margaret Bassett about 2 weeks ago. They informed me that I was 4/4 and that I'd get calls from Westley re my mood, etc. I've had 1 such call so far. Do I need for them to call ...

Re: CAD106 and CNP520

Dear Fellow Generation Study participants, I too am participating in the Generation Study. My test site is Georgetown U. Hospital. Haven't yet started the second level of testing. One of my problems is that I live alone. Thought of asking my daughter who lives nearby to be study partner, but don't w...
