Re: Omega 3 and Sleep
I use algae oil, but I take it in the morning so might try taking in the evening to test this theory. I take one capsule per day, which contains 400mg of DHA. What dosage are you taking and how long before sleep do you take it?

Re: keto alternate
What do you mean by ‘tolerated poorly’? Do they give you gas, bloating or stomach cramps? If gas is the problem, there are several things you can do to combat bean gas. Slowly integrating them into your diet, rather than eating lots of them, is one way, as this is thought to help build up the correc...

I recommend you steer clear of this product as it makes fake health claims. Please don't fall for it. Read about it here: http://earlightswindle.com/gloom/2018/0 ... ough-fake/
That website is devoted to preventing people from being swindled by 'ear light' health claims.

Re: Alzheimer's Solution Book
inflammatory foods like grains and legumes Why are these foods 'inflammatory'? I'd like to see some good evidence that whole grains and legumes are inflammatory. From my understanding of the literature, these foods are very anti-inflammatory and healthy. I can only find paleo and low-carb diet book...

Re: Is craving sugar a symptom?
Yes, craving sweet things is a well know symptom of AD. Here is just one reference mentioning it from 1992, but it's mentioned quite a lot in the research is you look. I wouldn't worry about your dad having sweet things, as the current claims about sugar in the media are overblown. You've got to rea...

Re: I’m confused about 4/4s and how much saturated fat is ok
I used to be a staunch low-carb advocate and followed it for over three years. However, for the last 18-24 months, I've been checking out the science around it and find it all to be just terrible pseudoscience. I have a particular interest in ApoE4, Alzheimer's and T2D because of family history. My ...

Re: I’m confused about 4/4s and how much saturated fat is ok
I'm not a dietitian, but my advice is to limit saturated fat as much as possible and keep away from low-carb diets in general. All the current media hype stating things like 'butter is back' and 'saturated fat not related to heart disease' is coming from junk, biased science paid for by the beef, da...

Re: A little help with the numbers?
Total Cholesterol: 234 HDL: 79 Triglycerides: 61 LDL: 140 Cholesterol/HDL: 3 Glucose (fasted): 101 BP: 122/67 So, I think I'm ok with the cholesterol numbers right? So my LDL is a little high, but my triglcerides are super low, and my HDL is pretty high. So that's good right? Is the HDL driving my ...
