Re: MitoQ & supplements

Does anyone have any current feedback on MitoQ? I have very recently (about 3.5 months ago) learned of my 4/4 status. I've realized I know nothing... or very little about all the pieces to the health puzzle. I thought I was the healthiest person I knew until I got my blood test back. I found a func...

Re: My !POSITIVE! test results for mycotoxins testing through Great Plains Laboratory

Hi, Just adding a few things I've discovered while battling my own mold illness. While there are certain foods to avoid for their ochratoxin content, especially oat-based cereals, pork, and wine , there may also be foods that promote detoxification . I also learned recently that milk thistle (Silym...

Re: My !POSITIVE! test results for mycotoxins testing through Great Plains Laboratory

Thank you for the feedback. Gosh, you and Tim have sure been through the wringer with that house. It hope it gives you some peace of mind to know how far you've come and that as time goes on, there is less mystery (?). Yes, we sure have. I do believe our house is now safe for me, but I really can’t...

Re: ApoE4/4 may have greater risk of COVID brain microvascular injury and neuroinflammation

Yes, I did have my hsCRP tested during my mold illness. My test result was always normal (except for that one time I fell). However, it's not one of the markers that are tested specifically for mold illness. You'd think it would be elevated, but it wasn't. Maybe the fish oil, curcumin, etc. I take ...

Re: My !POSITIVE! test results for mycotoxins testing through Great Plains Laboratory

Hi The Brain! I hope you're continuing to improve through your admirable dedication to doing so! During your treatment for ochratoxin, did anyone suggest you remove certain foods from your diet that are more likely to carry it; e.g., grains? Or was your diet already without such foods? I'm trying t...

Re: ApoE4/4 may have greater risk of COVID brain microvascular injury and neuroinflammation

My hsCRP has always been low when tested, except for one time. That time, I’d been tested a day or two after falling hard on my right knee and banging it up pretty bad. Thanks, that's interesting. Did you have it tested when you had mold illness? I don't normally hear it mentioned in that context, ...

Re: ApoE4/4 may have greater risk of COVID brain microvascular injury and neuroinflammation

Still thinking … I keep hearing from doctors that hsCRP only pertains to vessel inflammation, though I still wonder if that’s true. If it is, then maybe we should expect hsCRP to go up with Gundry’s markers if what he observes holds up under peer review scrutiny. I fear that, as with his lectin/adi...

Re: Webinar replay with Dr. Datis Kharrazian on brain fog and neurodegeneration

Trio-Smart is a relatively new test, so it might not yet be available in Australia. Dr. Nirala Jacobi is a naturopath and SIBO expert in Australia. I just did a search in the DuckDuckGo.com search engine for: Australia SIBO expert. Some potentially useful links popped up. If your mum hasn’t seen a ...

Re: Webinar replay with Dr. Datis Kharrazian on brain fog and neurodegeneration

Hi TheBrain, thank you so much for the information you provided. My mum has been suffering from brain fog for 10 years, sometime she felt better and sometime it got worse. She has seen different doctors in the past 10 years, but no one can figure out the cause for brain fog, therefore she hasn't ta...

Re: Webinar replay with Dr. Datis Kharrazian on brain fog and neurodegeneration

Hi TheBrain, thanks for sharing the information and I noticed the post date is back to 2016. May I ask have you tried this course and does it helpful? My mum is suffering from brain fog for a long time, and we can't find the reason and a way to treat it. Hi michaelzh, I didn't take this course, but...
