Yes, you are correct. That is the other company i’d read about.
Thanks!

Re: New member from Iowa!

Hello from Iowa! I am a soon to be 61 year old and I live near Cedar Rapids, IA. I am a real estate paralegal. I just recently found out that I am a 4/4. Not going to lie, I was upset to find out, but not surprised. My mother and her mother both died from complications of AD. My mother came from a ...

Re: Confusing Graph

Could somebody please click on this link and explain the graph in Figure 1? The left axis is labeled "incidence per 1000 person-years". I don't know how to interpret that. At age 90 the incidence is 125. Does that mean of 1000 90-year-olds 125 of them will develop AD within a year? The in...

Re: I guess I'll be taking a statin

I'm homozygous for a gene that may be worse than being APOE3/4: it's associated with a reduction in activity of the melatonin receptors that tell the brain it's time to sleep. Stavia listed 12 basic risk reduction strategies in her primer and sleep is one of them. If I had to point to one thing I n...

Re: New here. No family histody of AD, should I still be tested?

Is it likely my family does not have the apoe4 gene? Thank you in advance for your time. Hi Orangecrush We have a resource on the website that you might want to read through: Thinking About Testing . Given your family history, my guess (and it is just a guess, since i am not a genetics expert) is e...

Re: Is hair dye bad for us?

I'm 84 and finally thinking I should let my hair go gray. Both of my children have it, for heaven's sake. But it is actually bad for me? I usually have touch-ups once a month. I searched for this topic through the forums and the Wiki but found little except for some about getting gray early. Thanks...

Re: Question on the Bredesen protocol for Dementia, not Alzheimers

We are newly following the Bredesen protocol and my husband Jim is diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) but not Alzheimers. Is Bredesen's program also good for people with dementia who don't have, and may not get, Alzheimers? I would just add that I have heard Dr Bredesen say, on several ...

Re: Worn a fitness tracker during practice?

I've recently picked one up, to help remind me to get my backside out of the chair more regularly (I work at a pretty sedentary job), and I'm thinking of trying to have it on me while practicing. Has anyone here done this? If so, what kind of tracker did you use? Did you find it useful? As an FYI, ...

It's been a year since I participated in a conversation on this site and I only posted a few times. I would like to become involved again but I'm not sure how to join the conversation, that is, where to post and how to reply. Just need a little help and a few pointers. Many thanks, Hi Bosco , Happy...
