Re: Triglycerides and APIOE4
The mean cholesterol and LDL for the AD groups were higher than the normal groups for individuals without APOE-ε4 (cholesterol p = 0.041, LDL p = 0.035), but not for individuals with APOE-ε4. A rather different trend was seen for the mean triglycerides. The mean triglycerides for the AD groups was ...

Re: An interesting study opportunity
Interesting Mike. I think my hyperlink refers to the earlier study- https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/an-hour-of-light-and-sound-a-day-might-keep-alzheimers-at-bay/. What’s interesting is this- “When Tsai dissected the mice brains afterward, the amount of amyloid plaques and tau tangles in ...

Re: Xcode Life vs Promethease and other raw data analyzers
Jmac, I don't know about XCODE, but between Promethease and FoundMyFitness genetic analyzers, it's FoundMyFitness without a contest. Promethease has the data there but they haven't done a decent job of presenting actionable data that you can use. Further, Promethease is very slow on the web, and to ...

Re: Magnesium Threonate Reverses AD in Mice
The hyperlink to sciencedaily didn’t work for me. A little digging indicates that the authors retracted the paper due to errors, see https://retractionwatch.com/2014/04/18/ ... s-in-mice/.

Re: PEMT RS7946(T,T) Fast Results After Phosphatidylcholine Supplemention
Thanks Roaming and Susan for highlighting the choline issues again. I'm homozygous on both Interestingly, the cholinergic pathway, when functioning properly, is also antiinflammatory via the vagus nerve , so this deficiency may be contributing to my inflammatory phenotype. I wonder what percentage ...
