Re: Why does Dr. Gundry say no crossfit for apoe4?
Thank you Theresa. I’ll read your response again in the morning with a clear head. I think I reacted emotionally to the information because I’m finally taking care of my body after years of mistreatment. Thanks again.

Re: Why does Dr. Gundry say no crossfit for apoe4?
Oh no! I’m 4/4, and have taken up long distance running over the last 6 months. I’m training for a half marathon at the moment (I can’t say I’m enjoying the training, but I like how I feel when it’s done!). My father has early onset Alzheimer’s, and my mum has AFib. I do have strange palpitations of...

Re: Anyone use gotu kola?
I was in Bunnings today (Australian hardware and gardening store) and came across gotu kola seedlings. I've brought some to try, I'll incorporate it fresh into daily meals. A brief google suggests 2-3 leaves a day.

Re: Mitochondrial Dysfunction in E4 carriers
Thus, apoE4 may cause mitochondrial dysfunction at very early stages in life. Please forgive me for reviving an older thread. I've been reading around the forum, and I've noticed a bit of talk about 4s having problems with mitochondria from a young age (something about not making ATP very well? - I...

Re: Getting an education
Thank you for asking this question! I have been glossing over a lot of my reading here so far, because I just don't have the knowledge to decode it! I have been getting flashbacks to my high school science lab every time I read the word mitochondria though  I've just googled up Khan Academy. It...

Re: Hello from Australia
Thank you for your warm welcome JML and SusanJ. We've been gluten and dairy free for about 3 years, and I never give sugar to the girls (except for fruit). They do eat a lot more processed carb than I do, because they are 2 and 3, which means I'm in the shelf-stable, packed lunch and snacks phase. S...

Hello from Australia
Hi, I'm Kylie. I found out I am 4/4 quite by accident a few months ago. I agreed to let a naturopath test me for 'sensitivity to heavy metals' given that I was living in a mining town. She told me I was 4/4 and that yes, it meant I had a sensitivity... On the way home (as my husband drove), I google...
