Re: Can I kill myself with spinach?
Spinach is high in beta-caratine so you can expect your skin to turn orangish yellow as a sign of eating too much of it. I noticed this a few days ago and was surprised because I didn't know greens could do that but apparently spinach is pretty orange underneath all that green. Very true! Back in t...

Re: APOE e4 e4 predictor
Assuming your sibling is a full sibling, then at best, the punnett square would predict 25% chance of double e4. You know that your mother had at least one e4, because she gave it to your sibling. So at best, your mother is a e3/e4. Same for your father. He is at best a e3/e4 because he gave the oth...

Re: Interesting New Findings re Tau Protein
Thanks for posting this! My husband sent me a link to it this morning. Really interesting find. The prion thing is scary - that's how mad cow disease works.

Re: Fiji water (silica rich water) - Reversal of Alzheimer's
Since reading the original aluminum post from Laurie, I have added Fiji water to my daily diet. (I was actually drinking some when I came across this post). My thought was in adding it, it doesn't hurt, I need to drink more water anyway, and if there is a benefit to the Fiji water, even better!! I w...

Re: Question about stevia...
Dr. Gundry talks about eating it in his book, the plant paradox. I use stevia in my morning coffee. However, I use the liquid stevia (only takes a few drops), not the powdered stevia that has other "stuff" in it.

Re: Lectins and their benefits
I just started reading Dr. Gundry's book. I don't know if this is the correct place to put this criticism/correction or not and I suppose in the grand scheme of issues with lectins in humans it's a small one, but it really makes me not want to read the rest of his book. In the first chapter, Dr. Gun...

Re: Is skipping breakfast bad for you?
Yes, I think that is going to be my go to plan. Something around 10/10:30. That's when I find I get really hungry and it causes me to watch the clock until 12:00. (Pretty distracting) Thank you all for the suggestions!SusanJ wrote:and eat nuts or something to break your fast at work, say mid-morning?

Thank you for putting this up. I am struggling and have not been compliant with what I know I need to do. This will help me battle my way back.

Re: Is skipping breakfast bad for you?
So, I'm glad this thread is going because I'm having a breakfast issue. I have always been a breakfast eater, but had switched over to the no-breakfast protocol to do the 16 hour daily fast. (I'm a 4/4) I did ok with that for a few weeks until I recently changed up my morning routine. I now get up a...
