Re: Anyone else here deal with Chronic Idiopathic Angioedema?

Here’s my experience, perhaps not relevant to your circumstances. I first came down with repeated angioedemas upon moving from the Northwest to the Midwest for college when I was 18. Retrospectively, it was caused by my first exposure to ragweed season - I know that because it happened again wheneve...

Re: Dr. Rhonda: Get some DHA in phospholipid form

I'm actually trialing no eggs at all to see if they're the cause of my chronically high hs-CRP.
Ecklonia cava to reduce CRP? Per examine.com, single study shows half reduction.

Re: Dr. Rhonda: Get some DHA in phospholipid form

Thank you bladedmind! Since I think I'm getting enough of those other nutrients, maybe I'll switch to the omega-3 eggs. Following up on an earlier exchange between circular and me earlier in the thread. Circular was torn between Omega-3 eggs with phospholipid-bound DHA and EPA and free-range eggs w...

Re: Dr. Rhonda: Get some DHA in phospholipid form

The MCT oil you referenced is an aid to ketosis. It is not related to omega-3 fats. See https://wiki.apoe4.info/wiki/MCT_effects If you want caprylic acid there are quality alternatives to the Bulletproof brand at much better prices. Gundry’s supplement hawking doesn’t add to his credibility. Anyway...

Re: Dr. Rhonda: Get some DHA in phospholipid form

The ALA they eat from flax seeds transforms into DHA and EPA, and I'm guessing that some portion of the ALA is transferred into the egg. Those studies measure separately DHA, EPA, ALA. Some producers add fish oil to the feed as well - and I'm guessing that the chicken transforms them from triglyceri...

Re: Dr. Rhonda: Get some DHA in phospholipid form

Krill oil marketing bragged that its advantage is that the omega-3s are phospholipid-bound. However, there are pitifully small amounts of EPA and DHA in krill oil. Nordic Naturals created a phospholipid product that in its advertising claims to be better than krill oil for having both phospholipids ...

Re: Dr. Rhonda: Get some DHA in phospholipid form

Rotating the eggs does seem appropriate for someone named circular. Here is what I could find. According to the first linked site, pastured eggs have three times the omega-3s than conventional, omega-3s have five times the omega-3s than conventional. If you are not short of vitamins A and E, o...

Re: How to get Triglycerides down

I too can't tolerate statins or keto. I am guessing that fructose reduction helped me lower TG. I was eating 2-3 pieces of fruit a day - e.g. two apples and an orange. Now I avoid, except for low quantities of low-fructose fruit, e.g., one cup of mixed berries. Plenty of evidence for the link, here'...

Re: How to get Triglycerides down

I am not an authority of any kind and am trying to figure out how to solve blood lipid problems myself, especially triglycerides, which have been high much of my life. TGs were 257 in June 2018, typical. Cardiologist wanted me to take statins, although I’ve tried twice before and suffered acute memo...
