Re: Supplements I take and why

Laurie: On another forum that I am on, has a member that mixes one drop of Hubner's colloidal silica in water and drinks it...if she’s using filtered water, what would be the difference between this method and your husbands method? Thanks! I think I answered your question under another thread but o...

Re: 10-ingredients that could cause Alzheimer’s

I can't help but think of Japan, where seniors have long healthspans and among the highest longevity in the world and they eat a lot of soy products. Granted, in their country, they're non-GMO, very minimally processed, and more often fermented (tempeh, miso, natto) and therefore lower in anti-nutr...

Re: 10-ingredients that could cause Alzheimer’s

Now, I'm eating (aluminum) cans of sardines and avocados like a madwoman, wondering what the heck I should cook every night, and also when sardines are suddenly going to get a bad rap. Check the cans they may not be made from aluminum. You can use a magnet. If the magnet sticks its not aluminum. So...

Re: 10-ingredients that could cause Alzheimer’s

It seems like the research is mixed and may be gender dependent on soy/tofu. As a fan of fermentation, though, I'm not surprised that tempeh is all thumbs-up. Fermentation produces several beneficial compounds with antioxidant properties. / Soy is a plant that absorbs a lot of aluminum. Tofu has be...

Re: Supplements I take and why

Re: Supplements I take and why

I I am always hopeful that if I can reverse my osteoporosis and keep my homocysteine and cholesterol in check and other bloodwork that I am also lessening my AD chances. My husband has been successful with lowering his homocysteine. He takes Methyl Folate, B 50 and TMG 500 mg. I see you take B-Righ...

Re: 10-ingredients that could cause Alzheimer’s

I am glad to see aluminum is on both of these lists however it should be at the top of the lists. Tofu made the list of foods to avoid and the reason for this is Soy is a plant that accumulates aluminum from the soil. Plants have evolved to protect themselves from the toxicity of aluminum by using s...

Re: Aluminum as a causal factor of Alzheimer's - Introduction of myself to the community

Hi Everyone, i've just read the whole topic. A lot of very interesting information. When i was reading the 'evidence' saying AD patients had 6 Times more aluminium in their brain i was confused. Couldnt it be that as a result of dementia, brain simply struggles to eradicate aluminium? From what ive...
