Re: Is there something that will chelate mercury

I have gotten into taking silica water in order to flush aluminum out of my body. Is there anything similar for mercury? Is there a supplement that won't hurt you that would work for that? There is a very safe and effective way to remove mercury taking a L-selenomethionine supplement. Selenium is e...

Re: Sources of Aluminum in our daily lives, safer alternatives, words to look for on labels

Well, the problem is this: it seems I and my wife have different priorities on what to remove; she seems to be more concerned about microplastics, of which the Brita--or the Mavea for that matter--certain does not remove. There are so many toxins we are exposed to and it is challenging and sometime...

Re: Sources of Aluminum in our daily lives, safer alternatives, words to look for on labels

Laurie, thanks so much for the extremely helpful info! As I mentioned before, I'm using ZeroWater, but I take various forms (mostly drops) of supplemental Si throughout the day. The frequent use of Al salts in water treatment facilities is disturbing.... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PM...

Re: Fiji water (silica rich water) - Reversal of Alzheimer's

I wonder whether this can be used in a pinch? I will eventually make my own "silicade," but my current situation (moving in 6 weeks) means it's impractical to do so now. I also looked at which "hardware" I should use for this purpose: ⋅  For the first step (dissolving ...

Re: Sources of Aluminum in our daily lives, safer alternatives, words to look for on labels

Regarding water filter: I am puzzled as to why Brita--that I believe to be more or less pure carbon--remove more aluminum than Zerowater, which is mainly ion-exchange resin? I won't be surprise that the likes of Brita or Pur would contain a bit of ion-exchange resin, but still... I am asking becaus...

Re: Association between aluminum in drinking water and incidence of AD in the Canadian Study of Health and Aging cohort

Dennis read the paper. The time period was 7 years which is a short period of time as it takes a long time for aluminum to accumulate in the brain so this maybe why the association was not a strong as it was in other studies)(see table above). In table 5 of the paper lumia posted it shows that the h...

Re: Association between aluminum in drinking water and incidence of AD in the Canadian Study of Health and Aging cohort

Full paper is behind paywall. Though they had silica in the data, didn't look like they used it in the analysis. Wonder if Dennis has a comment? Thanks for the tag Tincup. Dennis and I haven't seen this research. I found the paper and It has been added to his reading list. Interesting that APOE -4 ...

Re: Fiji water (silica rich water) - Reversal of Alzheimer's

Shoot, I was thinking because Sodium bisulfate is also known as sodium hydrogen sulfate that I could be drinking both silica water and hydrogen water. Sodium bisulfate only makes acidic water it doesn't make hydrogen water. Hydrogen water is hydrogen gas dissolved in water. You can make it by addin...

Re: Fiji water (silica rich water) - Reversal of Alzheimer's

Another question. Does Dennis have a suggestion for a consumer grade pH meter? I don't think mine works well, even after calibrating with appropriate solutions. You need to get a pH meter that is automatic temperature compensated (ATC) and a pH standard powder packet for calibrating. Here is one I ...
