Re: DISAPPOINTING RESULTS

Hi Frankiesfriend: The reason why I was taking a very low dose of T3 was to be more in line with Dr. Bredesen's range of Reverse T3/Free T3. It was only 5mcgs. which I stopped because I thought that was the problem. My FM phiysician prescribed it and we decided to stop to see if the sympotms would s...

Re: DISAPPOINTING RESULTS

Thank you DaleBru for your answer. Yes Dr. Fung's website and program is great. I am very familiar with it. How different we are aren't we? We react to things in such different ways! I have an FM doctor so that helps a lot but we are all learning as we go along. Yesterday we were chatting and laughe...

DISAPPOINTING RESULTS

I have been Intermittent Fasting for the past 2 years, I started at 14-15 hours and gradually increased 6 months ago to 16-20 hours. After 6 months, these are the results: 1. A1C increased from 5.4 to 5.5 2. Homocysteine went from 9.1 to 9.8 3. Blood Pressure always low 99/114 systolic 60/70 increas...

Re: MTHFR and E4/E4

.[/quote]appreciate what your doctor is doing. It does not sound like there is a high level B-12 issue from supplements or food. I am also c.h. for MTFR. This gov't fact sheet helps with my understanding a bit more on B-12 deficiency and includes with folate: https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Vitami...

Re: MTHFR and E4/E4

… my B12 was high normal and anyway we were going to manage the methylation problem with Methyl Assist … my homocysteine was 11 at the start of treatment. It is now at 9.1 ... I became constipated and had to take Magnesium Citrate to tolerance to get relief. Roxanne - What is the recommended test l...

Re: MTHFR and E4/E4

I will test soon and I will let you know if the homocysteine lowers or stays the same before you buy the homocysteine factors. I think you can start with Methyl Assist and then tweak accordingly. Of course it depends if your homocysteine is high. If you have other questions, please ask. Thanks, Rox...

Re: Anyone on the New York City area?

I am in Brooklyn too:) I think a meet-up would be a great idea. We can wait until after the holidays. Would you be interested? Roxanna, I think the meet up is an excellent idea ! It turned out there are many New Yorkers among apoe4.info members :D If you are still interested, I think we should star...

Re: eating 2 cups of nuts . too much fat? CALORIES?

I am eating almost 2 cups of nuts (raw almonds, walnuts, macadamia, pecans, pistachios), and goat milk yogurt, omega 3, olive oil, coconut oil... a lot in my diet, yet I have not gained an ounce. I seem to poop a lot, and I mean a lot... which means that I am not digesting the fat. I used to eat a ...

Re: MTHFR and E4/E4

For the MHTFR mutation my FM physician recommended Methyl Assist by Pure Encapsulations one pill twice a day and Homocysteine Factors again from Pure Encapsulations one pill twice a day. It does get to be expensive, though as Methyl Assist is $40.00 and Homocyseine Factors is $51.00. Methyl Assist ...
