Re: Happy 66th Birthday to "hairyfairy"!!

Darn, "hairyfairy," when I saw this post in October I thought I would sneak in on December 8 and wish you a happy birthday, from one sexagenarian December kid to another. ! But I haven't gone online for a few days due to a family issue. So let me be the first to wish you a *belated* happy ...

Re: APOE4 friendly version of Bulletproof coffee?

I know many ApoE4 carriers avoid saturated animal fats, but I think the jury is still out on this one. ... If anyone has this evidence, I'd love to hear it! I personally think sugar is the bigger danger. I'm no expert on this at all, but your post got me to re-check my FoundMyFitness genetic report...

Re: 40% off friends and family at Pure Encapsulations

When I signed up for the list I thought it would be private (having had to register). I was pretty surprised to learn that everything we post here goes straight out to the Internet. Maybe that little detail should be emphasized at the beginning.

Bad SIRT3 gene and LCHF diet - good or bad combination?

Hi folks, I've been reading my genetic results slowly as time permits, and used SelfDecode's "potentially bad genes" tool today to find that my top-scoring "bad" gene (100 out of 100 ) is SIRT3 (TT). I'm in the 2% of people with that allele combination, which translates to a pote...

Re: Mental Madness

Rrmolo, I am now planning to play racquetball at age 78. (I think I'll start with badminton and work my way up.) I have definitely been through bouts of Mental Madness - the first step to a cure is to recognize you have a disease. I think NF52 is right about your "treatment plan." You are ...

Hi Emily! I lurked a bit before posting myself. I found that once you put yourself out there you become part of the community flow, which is a really nice feeling. Welcome aboard and don't hesitate to ask questions - almost always somebody has an answer. Best wishes to you also!
