Re: Pfizer buried promising lead on its anti-inflammatory drug

I subscribe to Peter Attia's podcasts and emails. Today's email is germane to this discussion, but for some reason I cannot find this posted on the internet, so am sending the contents of the email below. He takes apart the statistics, absolute and relative risk, the press, etc. My inbox was stuffed...

Re: Pregnenolone

I take 50mg of pregnenolone in the morning in the form of a compounded mix that also includes 10 mg. of DHEA. This cream is made by Central Drugs Compounding Pharmacy in La Habra, CA. and ordered by my practitioner. Before this dose, my pregnenolone level was at 14 when first tested (I am almost 65)...

Re: cognitive disconnect - do you "feel" you are reducing risk?

This is an interesting question, and I probably have a rather unusual answer. When I found out my 4/4 status, I retired a year early from a stressful job, and I changed as many factors as I could with the absolutely invaluable help from this site and all the wonderful members who added insight, info...

Re: Indianapolis area meetup

I'll second what everyone said. We had engaged, curious people who are in different stages of learning about what can be done to mitigate risk, and eager to learn from others- some with one ApoE4 allele, others with two. We chatted about advice from different experts, types of fasting, specific SNPS...

Re: Indianapolis area meetup

Hi Tinamalone, We would absolutely love to have you join us for our first meetup. I would be remiss if I didn't give a BIG shout out to NF52 for catching your post as we have been communicating through a GoogleDoc and privately at this site as well. Thank you! Tina, we will be meeting Tuesday, March...

Re: Indianapolis area meetup

Sounds like a good idea, and one that allows all of us to get together. Exodus, I don't know where you live on the south side (S, SW, SE?) , and I do not know that area at all, so you will need to find the meeting place for the six of us that is more convenient for you.

Re: Indianapolis area meetup

Command decision here! Let's make it March 19th, for dinner & get together and Dale and I will confer on a place that has options for eating and a more private area. Does the time frame of 5:00-7:00 or 5:00-7:30 seem like a good time? Punch says she can make dinner on that day and still trying t...

Re: Indianapolis area meetup

I have been staring at the GoogleDoc for the past 40 minutes for a solution, but agree with Slacker that Tuesday, 3/19 is the best option with the most people. Everyone, please have a look at it as well, and see if you see other possibilities. Questions: Julie: Are you available for dinner the 19th ...

Re: Dutch patients with dementia to request euthanasia

I have been thinking about this topic for a number of years, and want to thank TheresaB for the restart of this thread. It requires tremendous courage to squarely face our fears and think about becoming agents in our own death, not to mention talking to our families about these thoughts. Yet there i...
