Re: Blue Cross Plans Say Alzheimer’s Has Tripled Among Adults Ages 30 To 64

This one was a shocker! Lends credibility to Dr. Bredesen's "36 holes in the roof" scenario. Could also be that more people are mentioning problems to their doctors. Or better awareness by the medical profession. Or...or...or... - thank you for sharing these very scary but not surprising ...

Re: Help on finding supplements that are not in pill form requested...

Dr Bredesen worked with a supplement company to develop a combination of powder and capsules designed to reduce pill count while specifically support each Type. I’d be happy to provide more info if you’re interested - typing from my phone right now!

Intermittent Fasting

“...if I could figure out which supplements I could take during the fasting window without degrading the quality of the fast.” - this has been one of my questions. Bredesen recommends a LOT of supplements (plus others I’ve identified myself) and I need to spread them out. It’s challenging to fit the...

Re: I’m confused about 4/4s and how much saturated fat is ok

I'm a 4/4 also wondering about fats -- especially since Bredesen, Wahls, and others recommend a mild keto state as healthy for a variety of ills. I'm allergic to all forms of fish so get my protein primarily from grass-fed beef and free-range poultry, and consume a variety of fats to support keto in...

Measuring brain function at home

Greetings APOE4 friends. I've been interested in finding ways to figure out what's helping and what's not in terms of improving brain health -- from games and exercises to technology. I've recently come across something called Brain Guage that, according to their literature, is being used to measure...

Re: Good food/exercise/sleep log?

Hello everyone, I have recently learned of my E4E4 status and joined the site. It seems that with the emphasis on food, exercise, and sleep that I should keep a good journal/log of the three, both as a method to set goals and see how I have done - especially with the food which is complicated. Can ...

Re: Good food/exercise/sleep log?

Hi Bikerman, My method is so simple -- I hesitate to even mention it. No template. Just a three ring binder with divider in areas that I want to follow. Nutrition, sleep and exercise are in there with a couple others and a final divider that I have as + and -. All I do is make an entry when somethi...

Re: Questions?!

Hi, LauraLeaBrewer, Magnesium is a great suggestion for those muscle cramps! We do mag glycinate here in my home, as well as a wonderful Epsom salt/baking soda bath or magnesium chloride flakes for those nights when a girl just wants to relax! For NCJLHP, there are also some excellent topical magne...

Re: An opportunity to work with a health coach

I'm actually in the latest FMCA cohort, we started in February, and by July or August we'll be doing our practicums so another batch of student coaches may be available. More when we get more details.
