Re: Dr. Gabriel Lyon - Benefits of High Protein
In much the same way that you have been able to build a strong body, I thoroughly believe that you can also develop unshakeable self-esteem through "exercising it", in other words, through practice. There is alot of great info floating around in the world about how we, as humans, naturall...

Re: Dr. Gabriel Lyon - Benefits of High Protein
Genesis I love this! I relate to so much of it too, as I suspect many others here do in their own ways. I definitely relate to being a human out of time. I find it terribly lonely at times, like what the h*ll is with all these CARS! Whoosh, whoosh, honk, screech ... WTF where's my tree hollow! (Hop...

Re: back to basics
I believe if there's a concern about too much of anything related to diet, whether it's a macronutrient or micronutrient, a little intermittent fasting can help. It gives your body time to learn what it needs. As for the "necessary" core supplements, I'd say you're already doing well. Omeg...

Re: CSF Ferritin predicts cognitive decline in E4s
You probably got declined because of your low hemoglobin and hematocrit not your iron. They check that to make sure you have adequate red blood cells to give blood. Your ferritin is slightly elevated I would still try to give blood again if you get the chance. You might make sure you have adequate ...

Re: CSF Ferritin predicts cognitive decline in E4s
Very interesting discussion here. I will have to read "Dumping Iron" now. My Keto-Mojo regularly shows me with low hematocrit (<35%) and low hemoglobin (<12 g/dL) but my iron is fairly healthy (I think?) with my most recent fasting blood panel a month ago having a total iron of 107 mcg/dL ...

Re: Keto-Mojo Review
I'm seeing a lot of low hematocrit too. I didn't realize their website says it's not accurate. I don't think my exercise has increased enough to call it 'sports anemia' (never heard of that!). I plan to ask my doc for a more accurate lab for that, as well as the ferritin etc. My B12 is good, and I ...

Re: Keto-Mojo Review
I had never done a home blood test before buying a Keto-Mojo so it was a very new experience for me but I found it particularly enlightening and helpful to see the effects different foods and activities had on my blood. I used it enough that I really don't need to check the monitor anymore to know w...

Re: Qs re: homocysteine-lowering vitamins
Since late January, I've been taking Integrated Therapeutics Active-B complex, which is the Bredesen recommended dosage of B6 as P5P (50 mg), B12 as methylcobalamin (1 mg), and methyltetrahydrofolate (800 mcg). The vitamin also includes Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Biotin, and Pantothenic Acid. I'v...

Re: Dr. Gabriel Lyon - Benefits of High Protein
Count me as a lean mean and sometimes green fasting high-protein machine. I've never felt so healthy as on the days when I went for a long walk and only had a single catfish filet a few hours before bed. I'm still new here so I don't know how much of it is because of the low lipid clearance being 4/...

Chiropractic?
Reading about sleep and the glymphatic system, a quasi-lymphatic system for removing toxins from the brain via the exchange of cerebral spinal fluid mostly occurring during sleep, brought me to a website advertising chiropractic care to help improve this function. Adjustments to the neck and spine c...
