Re: Anxiety Management for ApoE4

I took Zoloft for more than a decade to address depression and anxiety (that I now suspect was attributable to alcohol and poor diet). Anyway, after going paleo/keto, I was able to stop taking Zoloft. But the anxiety came back without the Zoloft. I had a feeling of being tense, my mind would race, a...

I'm not doing nose-to-tail, but would like to. I'm a 3/4 male and otherwise agree with your perspectives. IMO, the case against saturated fat alone is questionable. But if you're not low carb, then a combined high fat intake seems to exacerbate the problems created by the sugar. I've been eating mos...

No sources cited. No evidence presented. Just an opinion on a plant based website. I'm unswayed.

Re: positive or negative experiences with Ashwaganda

I've not looked into the research regarding nightshades and AD and would defer to others that might have. I know Gundry believes that many are sensitive to them and my personal experience seems to confirm a histamine-type response - - it's subtle: increased itchiness and sinus issues. I have no idea...

positive or negative experiences with Ashwaganda

As a follow-up to my prior experience, I decided to stop taking Ashwaghanda about a month ago. It seemed to be synergistic with caffeine and put me more on edge, even when taking it at night (though taking it and drinking coffee in the morning was definitely was the most noticeable combination). Sin...

Re: APOE and the Association of Fatty Acids With the Risk of Stroke, Coronary Heart Disease, and Mortality

I’m not sure I agree with your conclusions. It should be noted that the study looked at blood plasma concentrations of the fatty acids, not consumption of fatty acids by participants. Further, as carbohydrate consumption is known to increase plasma levels of Palmitic acid (the saturated fat the stud...

Re: positive or negative experiences with Ashwaganda

I've been taking it for several months now and think it's helped deepen my sleep and further reduce my anxiety levels when taken in the evenings with Magnesium. I feel pretty great and have been really "getting things done". But, when I started taking it, it was in the morning, and combine...

Re: Denver area practitioner suggestions/recommendations?

Thank you all for the suggestions. I will pass these along.

If others have Denver area suggestions, please continue to post. My sister is out by Evergreen, so hoping there's something closer for her.
