Re: eating 2 cups of nuts . too much fat? CALORIES?

This is a very, very late response to the OP, but since it didn't seem to be addressed, I thought it worth mentioning. Poop is mostly composed of water, bacteria, fiber. That's all good and may even indicate that lots of poop production indicates good things going on if the majority of the bacteria ...

Fyi: "We do not consider Bubbies Sauerkraut pasteurized, but we cannot call it raw either. Bubbies Sauerkraut is heated briefly in our bottle wash after being sealed in the jar. This quick process does not eliminate all the cultures, just some of them that are producing the bulk of the carbon ...

Re: Potassium and Calcium

Another thing to consider is that the US RDAs for calcium and potassium are set excessively high. Calcium was set increasingly high in an effort to combat osteoporosis. Now we know that many other factors are involved and that the very high level of calcium intake is unnecessary, even harmful to hea...

Interesting. I've seen the pods both fresh and frozen in the Lotte grocery stores (Korean owned chain) here in northern VA. May have to look up some recipes and give it a try.

Since I didn't see anyone else mention it, the quick cure for the keto flu is SALT! Salty broth twice a day, some soy sauce, salt your food more. Typically this should take out the headaches within 20 - 40 minutes after ingesting. Role of Salt Intake in Nutritional Ketosis https://www.youtube.com/wa...

Re: Which comes first, diabetes or Alzheimer's?

Trying hard not to panic. ARGH! Ok, we don't know if this is true. But if it pans out, does this mean that existing diabetes means that the slow slide has already started? I'm going to assume not; it would probably work both ways. Not all diabetics wind up with AD. So I'm doing as much as I ...

Re: Intermittent fasting protocols to improve insulin control

Another vote for checking out Jason Fung's site https://intensivedietarymanagement.com/ Right now I'm doing 22/2 with water, coffee, tea or bone broth during the fasting hours. I've done a number of 36 hour fasts and a few 3 day fasts and trying to work back up to every other day fasts. Since I have...

Re: New RU442

Welcome! I'm another 4/4. Still new to this and fighting diabetes and high LDL-P. Lots of lifestyle changes too. For me it was easier to make all the big changes at once. I've occasionally slipped a small bit, but have learned to pick myself right back up. A long, healthy, mentally together life is ...
