Estrodial and risk of TIA
Hi everyone, I’m a 4/4 using .05% Estrodial patch. I am either having silent migraines or have had 2 TIA’s. My neurologist isn’t sure which. I do have 40+white matter lesions. How do decide whether or not the estrodial patch may be contributing to my possible TIA? Is it better to go off the patch to...

Re: MRI Results
Thank you for that response, Kathleen. I have some pretty serious text anxiety and I’m unsure about validity of results if I were to do a neuropsych eval. I lost my marbles when the doc asked me to draw a clock showing 10:50. I am a teacher and know how to tell time since I teach that concept quite ...

Re: MRI Results
Thanks, Julie G. It’s been awhile since I checked it. Maybe it’s time to check again. It was 6.8 a year and a half ago (down from 8.1). Good suggestion!

Re: MRI Results
:| NF52 and Kathleen1, Sorry this response is so delayed. I read your posts and they have given me great comfort. At my appointment, the doc was not worried at all. First she said they were due to a mild concussion at age 14. She then changed her mind and said they were due to migraines. I have had ...

MRI Results
Hi there! I was hoping somebody with a medical background could help me interpret my neurologists report. I had a brain MRI last week and won’t be able to see her for a few weeks. I’m freaking out a bit based on her impressions. I’ve attached the report to this post as it’s difficult to type the who...

H63d and Apoe4/4
I think I need to be done looking at my genes. It’s all bad, bad, bad. I have ALL the genes for hypercholesterolemia, am 4/4 and just found out that I am heterozygous for H63D.
If I donate blood 3 times yearly, will that lower Alzheimer’s risk?

Re: Overwhelmed!!
Thank you so much, Roxanne. I also have one copy of the gene for type 2 diabetes! My A1C is 5.0 and glucose is 105. I’m not Keto but I do eat low carb. My diet is rigid due to Sibo stuff but I eat 1 apple a day. Everything else is low carb. I don’t think I can go any lower. Keto was awful for my thy...

Overwhelmed!!
Hi everyone! I need some guidance with cholesterol levels. I ended up with an awful genetic jackpot. I’m Apoe 4/4, LDLR rs41291058 Hetero CT, ApoB rs6413458 Hetero AG, AND PCKS9 rs662799 Hetero AG. The last 3 are genes that code for familial hypercholesterolemia. I’d say it is extremely rare to have...

Re: Gut Bacteria
Hi Floramaria, 16 hours is quite a long fast for me. I can go no more than 15 since I’m a teacher and only have a few windows to eat while I am chasing around kids! If I wait, I’d be fasting 18 hours which is just not possible for me. I’ve been doing this fast for almost a year and my tests show I h...
