Re: CT contrast

I just had one 3 weeks ago. Oral barium and IV iodine. I dunno.. apparently it's rare to have side effects, but I've felt awful ever since I had the scan. Brain fog, off-balance sensation, difficulty thinking, etc. I also notice it seems like my skin on my body is less sensitive. My memory seems wo...

Re: Homotaurine (tramiprosate) appears to be a structure corrector

I find a side effect for me is a busy, hyperactive brain. I describe it as racing thoughts that overlap instead of coming one at a time - not too bad but a little odd. Anyone else experience this? yes definitely in a previous post on this or another thread on this substance. The vision center of th...

Re: Homotaurine (tramiprosate) appears to be a structure corrector

Last two nights’ bedtime 50 mg caused no significant sleep disruption or detectable nausea. Day after stomach sort of felt a little like I had an alcohol hangover- a little tiny hint- but barely noticeable. What is it so different during sleep that its effects are so different when taken right befor...

Re: Homotaurine (tramiprosate) appears to be a structure corrector

I have considered ordering empty capsules and dividing up the 50 into 25 mg ones to use for a while to adapt to the dose.

Funny enough a homotaurine derivative used in alcohol dependence therapy
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acamprosate
has insomnia listed as a side effect.

Re: Homotaurine (tramiprosate) appears to be a structure corrector

I take at noon.
I think I would have trouble focusing and working if I took it during the day unless the reaction settles down over time. Have you been taking it long? I think I can sleep if I take it late afternoon and just deal with the psychoactive effect only through low-key evenings.

Re: Homotaurine (tramiprosate) appears to be a structure corrector

Nausea with starting with one 50 mg cap, Q24h is bearable with a larger meal, I am taking with dinner. But the sleeplessness and anxiety/ chest tightness/ rapid tumbling thoughts/ mild tachycardia that I am having for the next 10 hours is a problem. Since it supposedly increases GABA this is a surpr...
