Wow, what a Herculean effort and immensely helpful result!

Re: Wiki elevation
Good idea – that will keep competitive types from resting on their (ancient) laurels!

Re: Wiki elevation
Marc, that could be it. But didn't we also physically switch servers, and/or tertiary domain names? (Pardon fuzzy memory on this.) That might also be it. I've made a total of 226 edits, and Susan became the second major contributor, also early on, so many of her edits would also not be in the tally ...

Re: Wiki elevation
Beautiful, Marc, thanks! By the way, the All time (Top 50) list is not complete (which I know since I'm nearly the only one who worked on the wiki at the beginning, and I don't appear there at all). I don't care about getting credit, just noting a possible glitch (which I assume is related to the se...

Re: Farewell to Susan
Oh, goodness, this is a loss to our community, but the gain of Susan's presence here for such a long time shall be celebrated and cherished. I hope that whatever the occasion of the change be, it isn't anything traumatic or painful. Susan, thank you so much for teaching me – all of us – so much over...

I just found out I have extremely low uric acid (2.7 mg/dL).... Another thing to worry about (though I think I'll let this one slide).

Re: **PROMETHEASE REPORTS FREE through December 31st.**
Actually, I just looked at my pie chart, and it looks like yours! So maybe I'm over-reading the negative ones. But there are indeed some protective genes.Julie G wrote:Sorry, {{{G}}} Evaluating risk assessment takes courage. I hope you also found some protective genes?

Re: **PROMETHEASE REPORTS FREE through December 31st.**
Thanks ZenGinner! (And it is indeed posted in the right place.)
I just generated a new report. Hadn't realized how much easier to use Promethease has become! (And how many more new, in my case bad, SNPs are part of the report.... )

Yeah, V3 and V4 of 23andMe don't test for that SNP, I can report. But not sure about V5 (which is ery new).

Re: Herpes and other viruses the root cause?
Very interesting indeed! One of the theories of SEID/CFIDS/ME is that it is triggered, and then maintained, at least in part, via non-dormant/reactivated herpes infections (probably mostly EBV or HHV6, probably not HHV1 or the other herpes viruses). Stress makes SEID worse, and maybe that effect is ...
