Re: whey(t) a minute! whey's ok?

Ι totally confused by this. I read that whey protein is good for seniors because iÞs a healthy way to build muscle and can improve cognition.

mensa IQ tests.

I came across a mensa Iq test on the internet this morning, & tried it out. It was only a practice test and I had to answer 18 questions in 15 minutes. I got 12 right out of 18. I found the pattern tests hard, but the verbal quiestions easy. I might have done better if I hadnt had to rush throug...

Iv`e heard that faster reaction speeds are associated with good brain health. Is there any strong evidence to support this theory? Iv`e been wondering if taking up one of the martial arts would help protect against alzheimers. I know that fast reaction times helps prevent falls, which is another thi...

4/4 centenarians?

I`m wondering if there are any 4/4s out there who have actually managed to reach the age of 100 years and still remained cognitively healthy. If there are, it might give me some reassurance that DNA isn`t destiny.

Re: Anxious and fearful

I can relate to that! My mother`s side of the family had several members who dropped dead from heart disease early in life.My mother developed angina in her early 40`s, so I`m pretty sure she`s the one to blame for giving me my single copy of apoe4. So far I`m in reasonable health apart from develop...

Re: Is apoe4 an evolutionary mistake?

It sounds like the so called second childhood of late life senility. I don`t look forward to being a child again because my past was miserable and I have no wish to re live it. This is another reason why I`m so terrified by my apoe4 status.
