Re: Does Julie Reynolds still take these 4 supps at bedtime??

Soooo, if you or anyone has any ideas, I'm open to reading about them. Perhaps I need something to monitor my sleep during the night? Would it even pick up WHAT is waking me up so thoroughly when I'm still tired and in need of a few more hours? Recognizing that sleep is so important, my husband and...

Re: Does Julie Reynolds still take these 4 supps at bedtime??

I am listening to this 2017 interview. She said she takes these four at bedtime: Progesterone, melatonin, ashwagandha, Bacopa monnieri. Does she still take those? Anything else? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2h3p4URiw0 The video is a podcast with Julie Gregory, your subject line says Julie Reyno...

Re: Opinion on ApoE4 plus MTHFR heterozygous

Also another quick question. When you're trying to do intermittent fasting and reducing the number of hours which you consume food in each day how do you manage to get your supplements in without breaking this fast? Do you restrict taking the supplements to the time when you're eating or do you tak...

Re: High energy expenditure and APOE 4

Tim Noakes is hardly a figure i would seek to refer to when it comes to nutritional science, considering his outlandish views and dogma against carbohydrates. I accept if your research has come to this conclusion, but as a moderator, I must remind you that all posts must adhere to the community gui...

Re: High energy expenditure and APOE 4

Interesting. This is new to me, are there case reports or any reading on this? I do recognize that exercise helps the body with insulin sensitivity, but that alone does not protect a person from insulin resistance. Examples of this have been repeated to me over and over so much that I'm at a loss t...

Re: High energy expenditure and APOE 4

Did Noakes ever actually post bloodwork though? As far as I remember he claimed IR but never posted A1C and/or fasted insulin/blood sugar. It's one of those holes in his story that bothers me. I don't know, but I do know Noakes is not the only person who has become insulin resistant while highly ac...

Re: High energy expenditure and APOE 4

Those of us who work physically active jobs and play a wide variety of sports, should by theory be highly sensitive to insulin. I disagree with that assumption, and so would Tim Noakes, professor emeritus in the Division of Exercise Science and Sports Medicine at the University of Cape Town, South ...
