Potentially falsified Amyloid B research
Hi all I’ve been a longtime lurker and haven’t posted in a couple of years but just saw the article below in Science which seems to cast a lot of doubt on the Ameloid B theory. I’ll let others more well versed in the science weigh in. https://www.science.org/content/article/potential-fabrication-res...

Re: The MIND Diet
Hi mimik I had a question regarding your MSH comment. I had the battery of tests for CIRS done and one thing I noticed was that the reference range people keep mentioning on MSH doesn't align with what I'm seeing. My MSH came back at 19 on labcorp with a reference range of 0-40. Everywhere I look on...

Biomarkers for understanding impact of certain foods
Hi All - I was wondering what biomarkers outside of the lipid, glycemic control, and inflammation we would use to determine if certain foods were negatively affecting us. I'm asking this in the context of say eating steel cut oats or legumes or whey protein powder. If our lipid markers (NMR), glycem...

Re: whey(t) a minute! whey's ok?
Bumping this post as well. Really curious as to what the general consensus is regarding Whey and its propensity to spike insulin. In isolation this may be a bad thing, but say we were to consume a whey protein shake with a bowl of steel cut oats, some berries, and 1 soft scrambled egg. Would the com...

Re: Lipids & Sat Fat Question
Ah great thanks Betty. Based on the formula I had a 1.4 score at the same time as my lipids testing was done. Based on the website it appears I do have mild IR then as optimal is sub 1.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Lipids & Sat Fat Question
Thanks for the quick and informative responses Julie and Stavia. Julie the paper you posted about IR being linked to discordance for my situation may explain why. While my Glycemic control is fine I'm fairly certain that I have mild IR and am working on that. I plan on buying a dexcom g6 next year i...

Lipids & Sat Fat Question
Hello - As recently posted in my intro I'm a newbie here on the forum who's an Apoe3/4. Hello All - I found this board from reading Dr. Bredsens ReCode. It has been a fantastic resource and I've spent the last couple months digesting. I am an Apoe 3/4 and have been trying to learn as much as possible. I look forward to joining the discussions.
