Re: Veggie burgers?

We absolutely love Amy's Sonoma burgers. The oils used are maybe not ideal, but at least they are the last ingredient. We saute them 6 minutes per side right from the freezer (with a little avocado oil), top with an avocado and serve on top of salad greens. Delicious but not for every day consumptio...

Re: Einkorn Sprouted Wheat

Well you folks are WAY more talented than I am. I think everything you are baking sounds awesome. I am not much of a baker, but occasionally eat the Food for Life frozen sprouted breads sold in the freezer section. They have lots of products. I think 2 kinds of sliced breads that are not gluten free...

Re: Hydrogen Inhalation

If you go to Dr Mercola’s website you will see that he had a very in-depth article on hydrogen therapy this week. He recommends the hydrogen water tablets as the best mode. I have been using them for a few months and not sure if I notice anything or not!

Re: Is anyone taking Metformin for longevity (or considering it)?

Rhonda Patrick also believes that Metformin is not a good idea in healthy, active adults due to its blunting of the benefits of exercise.

Re: Fish oil supplements bad E/4

I can’t use phosphytidyl choline because it gives me wicked insomnia. But I do use krill oil and not fish oil. After reading input from Rhonda Patrick and Joe Mercola, it seemed the most effective for e4’s. I do recall that Rhonda Patrick uses BOTH krill oil and fish oil (in triglyceride form) to he...

Re: anti-.vrals

I second the L-Lysine recommendation. I don’t get cold sores often, but when I do they can be large and painful for a week or more. I had one last spring, and took L-lysine orally and topically. It was gone within 2-3 days. I now have a bottle on hand!

Re: Milk alternatives?

I have never tried (or seen in a store) walnut milk. I sometimes use Malk which has only sprouted organic almonds, water, and Himalayan salt as ingredients. The sprouting minimizes lectins. I don’t use it often, mostly when making cappuccinos at home. I believe walnuts have a healthier fat profile (...

Re: Sleep Tracker

@HeatherLst do you feel tired the next day from that much melatonin? That is a hefty dose! Did the dr recommend this protocol specifically to support your APOe4 gene? Very interesting. My favorite sleep supplement is currently Phosphytidyl Serine but I am always looking for ways to better stay aslee...

@NewRon my sister loves CBD oil/cream for neck/shoulder problems. Chris Kresser recommends Ojai. My sister has also used Theramu. Hope you feel better soon.

Re: What supplements do you use and why?

Hi Saskia - I take all the supps you listed with the exception of folic acid and aspirin. Ben Lynch has instructed that folic acid is a synthetic form of folate and blocks our folate receptors such that folate cannot be absorbed. He says we should take methylfolate or folinic acid, but never folic a...
