Re: Blood sugar

My insulin was low, a 4 . but my A1c was a 5

So I guess that is good...but... is the A1c indicative of aging (glycation), ,or is that also really the insulin number.

I am confused at how my insulin can be lower than my a1C

Thanks

Re: Blood sugar

My aiC is also a 5 and I am also a 4/4
I eat very healtthy and am fit, but I can't seem to get my Aic lower
Is a 5 okay for a 4/4 ?

I ask because I know people with a 4.2, and a 4.5 that are not as fit as I am, yet have a better a1C

Food Allergy and Lectin ? affecting gut, opinons?

I am confused about all the new trendy online food allergy tests that are very affordable. Are they accurate? If I am allergic does that mean that it is the Lectins inside (Dr. Gundry talks about this) I understand Gluten and Dairy allergies... as well as a few other well-known food allergies.., but...

Re: pre-diatetes 4/4, A1C, blood glucose, insulin

When I drink electrolytes or take vitamins or bone broth... even though they are carb free, and don't have artificial sweeteners, I think my insulin must push up my blood glucose a bit. When that happens, is it still doing damage even if it is up because of something else? Does damage only happen wh...

pre-diatetes 4/4, A1C, blood glucose, insulin

I am so upset that I have been on the verge of pre-diabetes for years and no doctor ever warned me. I have had 3 different doctors since 2010 and on all of my annual checkup reports they tell me all is well. Since educating myself in these past months, I went through my old paperwork and saw that NO...

Re: Fasting glucose getting worse.

I have been doing a bone broth fast for 36 hours. My morning glucose was 103, but 18 hours into the fast it dropped to 72, and then has been holding steady at 68. I have issues with my blood sugar running a bit high even though I am not officially pre-diabetic, and I am apoe4/4 So, my question is, i...

Re: Full Keto diet or not?

Why is eating too many nuts contributing to this?

Re: Full Keto diet or not?

I struggle with keto and feeling on top of my game. The brain fog keto flu passed early on, but still I feel not totally 100% on keto and can only seem to go a maximum of 19 hours fasting before I feel crazy. I typically eat doing a 16 : 8 plan, and keto, and I eat plenty of calories (nuts, olive oi...

Re: Anxiety and APOE4

Many of us here are 4/4 and have taken great measures to weigh less, eat better, and do all of the "best things" to increase our chances of thriving past 80. Many of us have family memeber who have suffered from this and we want to not be a victim. You can do it. Let's all stick together a...
