Re: Change in Bredesen practitioner access MPI website

The real hope is with researchers who are working hard to develop ways to diagnose, treat and prevent Alzheimer's. Research scientists use controlled experiments. They don't rely on patient testimonials. We can't prevent Alzheimer's right now, but we can adopt a healthy lifestyle. Most everyone agre...

Re: Generations 1 Update

Thanks, Verax. Read the articles. Is plague is plague is plague? All of this plague has to be related. I have been fighting plague for years - at least 30 years on a statin, which has vastly improved my LDLs. The plague on my teeth gets regularly chipped off, and now I am taking the CAD106 to get ri...

Re: Generations 1 Update

Thank you, Lucy. Yes; I am happy with the study so far. I previously posted that my blood pressure had gone up after the injections started. The study site staff thought it could have been a result of "nerves", and I now think they are correct. My blood pressure is pretty much the same as ...

Generations 1 Update

I don't check in to the website much, mainly because I don't follow Bredesen or Gundry. Not for me. I would, however, like to give an update on my experience with the Generations 1 Study. After about 2 years of getting the placebo or CAD106 injection part of the study, I can report side effects, goo...

Re: CAD106 and CNP520

Yes, Julie G, it is a great to have found supportive friends in the Generation Study. The main purpose for my post, however, is to get across that Big Pharma can be a good thing.

Re: CAD106 and CNP520

Big Pharma" takes a big hit, frequently on this website. The pharmaceutical companies are businesses, like other businesses. Their goal is to make money, and you need a good product to make money. You hear a lot about the unfair expense of offered drugs, but with increased competition and gener...

Re: Does ketosis cause AD?

I hate to be contrary, and this is merely a Reader's Digest article, but it does make sense. I don't want my muscles to suffer on a keto type diet. I have worked too hard on maintaining great muscle tone. Hey, my heart is a muscle, too! It is my favorite muscle. And what about kidney or liver damage...

Re: Does ketosis cause AD?

Theresa, you can make mild corrections or severe corrections! Thanks for your replies, Julie and Stavia. Unfortunately, there is not a cure for poor functioning of glucose metabolism - which could be the root of ALZ? I don't think I am insulin resistant. I am hoping exercise helps; see below. In the...

Re: Does ketosis cause AD?

Thank you, Theresa. So according to some current literature, the problem is not getting enough glucose, but is not being able to use the glucose. But still seems important to feed the brain the glucose.

Re: Does ketosis cause AD?

Interesting, J11. Do I have this right? The brain relies on glucose, doesn't have reserves, and needs a steady supply. Those fasting or eating a low carb diet use up their glycogen and use the keytone bodies for fuel (from fat). It is my understanding that fatty-acid eating is associated with the de...
