Re: Interesting talk by Dr. Kellyanne Niotis on APOE4, lipidology, and preventive neurology
Hi Frankiesfriend, Thank you for posting your results. I’ve been reading about this, and you may know by now, but from what I’ve read and heard from Dr Niotis and Dr Dayspring, an absolute value of 1 is good for apoe4s. You don’t want to be lower than that. I just got my results today and I’m lower,...

[/quote] I am no expert in this area but have heard about plant sterols before. From what I understand, Sisterol levels are from plant sterols. Examples include avocados, nuts and seeds. There are two main genes to review: ABCG5 and ABCG8. Did your doctor mention changing your diet at all before try...

Re: Interesting talk by Dr. Kellyanne Niotis on APOE4, lipidology, and preventive neurology
Thank you for posting the link to this very interesting webinar. In response to your question, I am interested to hear if anyone on this site is getting their desmosterol levels checked based on her notes that if it is really low that can be concerning. I had my sterol levels measured after listenin...

Re: Whole Foods Plant Based Diet for Prevention
Hi Frankie's Friend, I saw my primary doctor this week to go over my Cleveland Heart Lab. She didn't say anything about my Arachidonic Acid level, which is also low at 7.3. You definitely don't want high Arachidonic Acid as it is inflammatory, and the body produces its own AA. But very low levels i...

Re: Whole Foods Plant Based Diet for Prevention
I am adding this thread to our Prevention and Treatment forum so that members may post tips, questions, and comments about a Whole Foods Plant Based diet for AD prevention. Thank you, Plumster. I do have questions that I hope you and others can address. I test for Omega3 status several times a year...

Re: Uric Acid concerns
This review of uric acid and AD may be of some interest. In general, the authors conclude that uric acid, an antioxidant (sometimes pro-oxidant) is neuroprotective, and that higher levels reduce the risk of developing AD and also reduce cognitive decline in AD and MCI patients. https://www.hindawi.c...

Re: CGM data question
Perhaps the partial thyroidectomy will settle the sleep issue, as excess thyroid hormone can disrupt sleep. I hope so.

Re: CGM data question
Is there a concentrate option? Yes. Indica 300 mg bottle or 600 mg bottle. 1/4 drop is 10-15 mg dose which is average for a tincture. Sublingually takes effect a lot faster. You'd get more THC without it being muted by the CBD. They also have 1:1 mixtures of THC and CBD. He considers this the next s...

Re: CGM data question
I am also really sensitive to medications and supplements. I have a friend who swears by her THC before bed, and she does sound like a different person since using it. She's taking something with 100 mg THC and 2 mg CBD. I'm interested in knowing how many mg of THC you're taking. I also have long p...

Re: CGM data question
Now that I write about this, I think it's probably better to get up and eat something easy to digest and then get the sleep. But I often feel like I just can get my body to behave according to all the rules that seem to come easily to others. It's very frustrating, and actually it may all be down t...
