Re: Worst Labs Ever

Doctors put out a lot of misinformation. Unfortunately, you need to find those who understand the science and who actually get results with their patients. I recently discovered this video by Dr Robert Lustig, one of the best videos I've seen: https://youtu.be/Be2NnQB9ODQ The NMR lipids profile will...

Re: Worst Labs Ever

I second what @theresab said. Your lab results are very good. I hope you will study enough to reassure yourself that your doctor, like most doctors who are hopelessly behind current scientific understanding, is dead wrong. Unfortunately, the word "dead" hits patients more than the doctors ...

Treating Dementia with Diet short video

One of my favorite nutrition experts is Dr Paul Mason in Australia. Here is a recent video from him, only 11:33 but excellent IMHO

Re: RE: My First NMR Lipoprofile with Insulin Resistance #'s.

Questions: Which biomarker should I focus on to bring down? How often should I re-test in order to make fastest progress? I suggest you focus on the ratio of TG / HDL. Less than 1.5 is okay, less than 1.0 is good. My LDL is higher than yours, but I have learned that high LDL is good and low LDL is ...

Video APOE, APOE4, Cholesterol, LDL & Insulin Resistance

A few days ago Dr. Nadir Ali posted a 54 minute video on YouTube. https://youtu.be/Q8cfuuyrMgk I think it is very good information. The full title is "APOE, APOE4, Cholesterol, LDL & Insulin Resistance – links to heart disease & dementia " The annoying music at the beginning disapp...

Re: The Ketogenic Diet: A Neurologist’s Warning

The article says "A Neurologist's Warning" but IMHO it is a science-free repetition of ketogenic diet misinformation. The key statement in the article is "It is our belief..." By coincidence I happened on this really good and recent science-based lecture from CrossFit/Virta/IUHea...

Wow, I think we are twins, but I'm one year younger. Also 3/4, same diet, same numbers (LMHR) etc., and I agree 100% with what you've written. Thanks for sharing.

FAT: A Documentary (2019) - IMDb https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8439204/ Recent documentatary that went to the top of the charts in about four days. Eating correctly is our best hope, and you'll want to go with actual science instead of bad advice from doctors and other so-called experts. Sent from my...

Phase 2/3 Trial Alzheimer's Periodontitis

I ran across this trial today and didn't find mention of it anywhere on this site. https://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03823404 573 subjects 55-80 with documented mild to moderate AD dementia. I don't qualify, but I'm interested in following it. There are several discussions on this site abou...
