Re: Back and searching for answers regarding diet, cholesterol, etc...

Thank you floramaria, I definitely can walk and do arm exercises. In fact it might be better to give my legs a break from jogging once in a while especially since I'm not used to it. I have some weights in my garage that I'll get out along with some other equipment. Youtube is a good idea for exerci...

Back and searching for answers regarding diet, cholesterol, etc...

It's been a while since I posted and I've decided it's time to change my lifestyle habits since I have a copy of APOE4 along with a family history of Alzheimer's. I'm currently looking at an old lab test from December of 2011 and my LDL was 138. At the time I was tested I had recently relapsed with ...

Re: General Anesthesia

A very belated thank you to you, NF52. Your responses are always so thoughtful and comforting and very much appreciated. Long story but I did decided at the last minute to not go through with the surgery and right now I'm focusing on learning everything I can about APOE4 and making positive lifestyl...

Re: Antibiotics helping with brain fog

Yes, but then I have Lyme disease. IV Rocephin completely brought my brain back. Unfortunately my doctor wanted me to be on it for a year but my insurance would only cover one month. Oral antibiotics don't help when it comes to my brain.

General Anesthesia

Hello, I have one copy of APOE4 and I will be getting a prophylactic mastectomy and reconstruction early next year due to having LCIS. I will be getting a flap procedure and without explaining what that is I will just say that I will be under general anesthesia for 10 hours. The surgeon is one of th...

Sorry I haven't responded. Thanks to those who responded to me and for your warm welcome and suggestions.

I guess I said too much about Lyme, etc... I'll edit that out.

Re: New here and scared

NF52: Thank you for everything. It's so helpful and reassuring. Yesterday I had a pretty good brain day and a long phone conversation that went well. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket. Fiver: Thank you for looking things up : ) I can only tolerate 5 mg of Lexapro which seems common among Lyme pati...

Re: New here and scared

Thank you so much NF52. That is very comforting and kind of you but I feel that I have not been completely honest. I lose my train of thought more often than in the past, and lately it's constant like every time I open my mouth. I just got off the phone with a cousin and I lost my train of thought i...
