Hormone supplementation when Lyme is present
Hi, I know Bredesen advocates for bioidentical hormone replacement, and I've never heard him say Lyme is a contraindication. I spoke with an LLMD who said that it absolutely is, that steroids like DHEA and pregnenelone raise white blood cell counts, etc. To be specific: I am on 2.5 mg Cortef, 20 mg ...

Re: Experiences with Low Dose Naltrexone
So far my FM pain has been worse overall since starting LDN. The one improvement that keeps me going is gut motility. I read the Pheonix Rising posts and see that some people don’t tolerate this drug. I suppose I’m not willing to give up yet—so much promise! But does anyone here know whether or not...

Re: Experiences with Low Dose Naltrexone
I am jumping in here late... maybe I missed it but I don’t see the link to The Facebook group, and I searched on Facebook for it with no luck. I have gradually raised my dose from .25 to 1 mg. The night of the first .75 mg dose, I had tremors and sweats that were mild— I thought it was because I was...

Re: Mold and mycotoxins
Reviving this thread with a question: I heard in an email from Great Plains that taking glutathione for the week prior to collecting a urine sample skews the reports either up or down??? This has been the recommended way of collecting, and I did it consistently over two samples. My first sample was ...

Re: Antibiotics helping with brain fog
I am 3/4 and have struggled with brain fog/ brain fatigue. I was also diagnosed with hydrogen SIBO. Rifaxipim didn’t seem to help at the time. Diet changes (FODMAPS) helped somewhat. I truly wonder if there is a connection. I also have had in the past dysautonomia of unknown origin. Symptomless but...

Re: Ann Hathaway / Marin County, CA
I am due to see Dr. Hathaway soon and am feeling nervous about it for two reasons: 1. She has no place for me to recline or lie down during intake, though she is ostensibly an expert in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. 2. I totally bombed the keto diet: massive dehydration despite doing all the electrolyt...

Re: Dr. Sunjya Schweig/Berkeley, CA
Unfortunately, it's quite difficult to get an appt. to see him. Hi Julie, How long did it take for you to get an appointment? I was told that his waiting list is now two years long and that they are not even adding to the list! I was referred to his clinical associate at the CCFM, Dr. Asfour, for h...

Re: Klonopin and CFIDS/epilepsy
Daymoo, are you on clonazepam for epilepsy? I see Cheney's website/book is quite old. 2001. He also uses doxepin which wouldnt be my choice in dementia prevention or in the elderly, its rather sedating. Chronic fatigue is poorly understood and there are many competing theories. None are proven with...
