Re: Updates to Dr Bredesen's Protocol
So weird. My parents drank coffee from breakfast until shortly before bedtime, and they seemed to sleep like logs. Meanwhile, if I dare a cup of coffee at 1:30 pm, I most definitely feel an impact at bedtime.

Eggs & Cholesterol not linked to strokes, even for APOE4's
A Finnish study of men found no difference in stroke rates between men eating a range of eggs and dietary cholesterol: "On average, the men ate about four and a half eggs a week and consumed 408 milligrams of cholesterol a day. After controlling for other health and behavioral characteristics, ...

Re: Keto and thyroid problems
I do, too. My last TSH was quite low after 8 weeks on a ketogenic diet, so my doctor reduced my Synthroid dosage. I'll retest after 8 weeks. (I have also read that treatment for hypothyroidism might be less desirable in the elderly. I'm not sure of the age for that or whether it is generally accepte...

Re: Modified citrus pectin can minimize heavy metal toxicity
I haven't tried modified citrus pectin, but it seems worth looking into for those of us with heavy metals toxicity: https://www.naturalnews.com/2019-04-21-modified-citrus-pectin-can-minimize-heavy-metal-toxicity.html Gundry has had us on MCP for 3 or 4 years. He also thinks it helps with the gut an...

Re: Fiji water (silica rich water) - Reversal of Alzheimer's
I wanted to give an update on my mother in law as it has been 6 months since my last update. This spring we have continued to see improvement in her cognition. Sadly my father in law passed away in January and last month the family gathered to celebrate his life of 95 years. I was amazed at how goo...

Re: Ketogenic drink improved cognition in MCI
Too bad it costs money to access the full article, typically in such protocols such as this, after the MCTs are withdrawn, the subjects go back to where they started since this is only giving the brain an energy boost but not really healing everything. Moderator note - I deleted a link to the paper...

Ketogenic drink improved cognition in MCI
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31027873 (Note, from what I can see, the patients were not following a ketogenic diet overall -- just consuming a drink with around 2 tablespoons of MCT oil.) Abstract: INTRODUCTION: Unlike for glucose, uptake of the brain's main alternative fuel, ketones, remains...

Re: K2 MK4
Leanne you may want to consider taking Arterosil, my FMD recommended due to my very high CAC score (I have plague, but my stress tests showed no blockage). You will need your practitioner to refer you to their site so you can order ($79). https://arterosil.com/ ...if you've really got plague, you m...

Re: Another negative lipid profile trend
As an update I recently obtained lab results and have made considerable progress in my lipid profile: <snipped> I have tried to avoid as much as possible refined carbs and animal fats, do time restricted eating within a 10 hour window, eat steel cut oats and an apple every day and do a Prolon fast ...
