Re: Tick bite, tested positive for Lyme

Hi Andy, My family has been dealing with Lyme & Co for about 15 years. I don't think the lyme-literate docs rely upon the Western Blot. In the Lyme community, it is thought to be pretty useless because of its high false negatives. IGeneX is thought to be much more accurate. I don't remember if I...

Re: keto, weight loss, hunger

I have been continuing with my two day experiment. I usually test in low keto. The doctor said that even for prevention, she believes there are benefits to be had by achieving higher levels. I don't do more than 2 days at a time because the weight loss is too much if I go longer. I will spend this w...

Re: Bredesen Trained doctor fees

We are evaluating using a functional doctor. They are expensive! Does anyone have any fee's we can use to compare? We just want to know if this is what they all cost or if this one is especially expensive. Hi AlphaLee. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. The docs who don't take insurance charge a...

Re: Sneak Preview of Dr. Bredesen's new Brain Food Pyramid

Tell me what part of the diet feels the most difficult for you. Is it the foods that you have to give up? I ask as there are low carb versions of almost anything now that are pretty delicious. The shift needn't be dramatic. At this point in your life, I wonder if baby steps might feel more doable? ...

Re: Discount for high polyphenol EVOO

Thanks for the reply. I will dial it down and try one of the lower levels. I did this the way I do everything - 1000 mph, when starting at 50 mph makes more sense.

Re: Discount for high polyphenol EVOO

We have a store near us, and I purchased 3 bottles of their highest polyphenol oil. Yikes! I felt like it was overwhelming the taste of the food. I finally mixed it with some bland olive oil to tame the aggressiveness of it. Do you enjoy the oil? How long did it take before you got used to it? Does ...

Re: Is there something that will chelate mercury

Floramaria – Initially I thought the Hg must be in my environment, so I took many steps to address environment. For example, I did not eat any fish for several years. Addressing environment didn’t seem to make a difference. When I had the lead crisis, my doc said that the lead could be in my bones. ...

Re: Is there something that will chelate mercury

I didn't make the OP, I was responding to it. By the end of 2006, my skin was clear and the Hg level per Dr's Data was good. Here is a picture of the disease: https://www.crutchfielddermatology.com/caseofthemonth/studies/2017/2017-004.asp There is nothing subtle about the disease. I had over 500 les...

Re: Is there something that will chelate mercury

I have a lot of experience with Hg chelation. After suffering with a skin condition for 10 years, a NY doc figured out that it was due to mercury toxicity. Thank goodness for the internet and his published research. The Rx is Chemet, very expensive, unfortunately. It is also not fun to take, for me....

Re: keto, weight loss, hunger

Thank you for the very helpful information. As I orient to all this and evaluate my very short two day experience, will someone help me understand this: I woke up this morning with 1.1 BHB and 77 fasting glucose. I did my hike. About 1 1/2 hours later, still fasting, BHB was 1.4 and still fasting gl...
