Re: fasting glucose and a1c

She also finds that taking a Tbsp. of Apple Cider Vinegar with meals helps with her BG. I experimented w ACV for a short period of time and didn't see much difference. Does she take it before, during, or after? Every meal or only some? How much of a difference in BG does it make? Do you have any th...

Re: NEW LIKELY CAREGIVER HERE.

Thanks Lindsey! Her statement is as it is implied. She will not live life in its worst expected demise. Granted, she will not probably remember when she needs to do as she threatens. Regarding the Bredesen book, his work is not viewed positively in our field, and I would not recommend undergoing hi...

Re: 24 and 4/4

We like to go out and get drinks and eat unhealthy and occasionally share a cigarette. This is how I’ve spent the last six years socializing as a young adult; I am so sad that I will have to leave behind the fun times that others my age will get to continue to enjoy. Oh my goodness. Have fun. Enjoy...

Re: fasting glucose and a1c

Been there, done that, so my guess is you'd rail at the world about how unfair it all is, giving up so many foods. After all you just want one normal thing, your latte, in your life. ;) My A1c and lipids fluctuate like yours as I test out strategies to keep weight on. Hugs from someone who knows yo...

Re: fasting glucose and a1c

Keep mindful of any extra muscle soreness. Do you have high lipids? Whole milk still has lots of carbs. A little heavy cream has no carbs, just extra fuel. Thanks for the heads up. I will watch for muscle soreness. I have a lot going on and don't know what is simply ok but not perfect and what is p...

Re: fasting glucose and a1c

I just realized that the numbers that I posted on 5/9 were from a CGM that I believe was not working properly, as explained in the post just above this one.

Re: fasting glucose and a1c

Are you still doing well on the Metformin? It is a pretty standard 1st T2D medication. In my case it caused muscle breakdown. You may want to have a Creatine Kinase test done to see if that is an issue for you. Hi! I had amazing results for the first day...and then much less dramatic results going ...

Re: NEW LIKELY CAREGIVER HERE.

UTSW doctor frowns upon. My goodness. There is a part in "The First Survivors" where Dr. Bredesen asks the question, at what point is it malpractice to ignore the information and studies and simply provide no hope? (my paraphrasing from memory). Have you looked for a ReCode practitioner? ...

Re: Statins when you’re homozygous APOE4

Going down the research Internet rabbit hole, there's no clear association between Alzheimer's and statins in either direction. One could conclude that there's enough findings on both sides to show that statins will keep APOE4s from dying of heart attacks until they die from dementia. Maybe the ans...

Re: Covid 19 disease /vaccines and AD

Hi Maria, FLCCC has been talking about these issues for a long time. The docs banded together at the beginning of Covid to try to come up with the best protocols for handling the disease, and the tsunami came upon them. One of them wrote a book called The War Against Ivermectin. It is very readable ...
