Re: Great new podcast up from Rhonda Patrick re restricted feeding time

Circ, that would be so disruptive to be woken up like that. Not fun at all! Glad to hear you have it mostly under control. I went ahead and downloaded the free app at mycircadianclock.org this morning and have started logging my meals and activity and adding some health data (blood sugar and BMI so ...

Great new podcast up from Rhonda Patrick re restricted feeding time

https://youtu.be/8qlrB84xp5g Wow, this was a really interesting one for me. It's also a good follow-up to her previous more technical podcast with Dr. Panda. In this one Dr. Ruth Patterson discusses, among other things, a study showing a 40% decrease in recurrence of breast cancer in patients obser...

Re: new here- progranulin defect, not APOE4

Re: My basic labs plus fasting insulin and Lp(a)

Stavia and Katie, thanks so much for your replies! I appreciate the reassurance and perspective regarding the Lp(a) result, and lab results in general. Very helpful to remember. Stavia, regarding the high Vitamin D: I feel a bit foolish as I had been taking large doses of a particular multi vitamin ...

My basic labs plus fasting insulin and Lp(a)

I would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions regarding labs I just got done with my new primary care doctor. Besides the basic labs, she added Lp(a), which I hadn't asked for, and fasting insulin, which I had asked for but wasn't sure she would be able to order. Nice! :) Here are the results, with Ka...

Re: Going to new primary care doc: is it reasonable to ask for advanced lipids?

Thanks to everyone for their input! So helpful and I really appreciate it. Well, I saw the new doctor today and while she didn't seem super-informed about apoE4, she was very kind and seemed genuinely concerned when I got a little teary-eyed talking about my cognitive/cardio concerns. She had heard ...

Re: Rebecca Katz of the Healthy Mind Cookbook on podcast

Ha! Yep, it's a disease. And sometimes I've even carried on a conversation while.... listening to a podcast on my phone at the same time.... ;)
