Re: Happy 66th Birthday to "hairyfairy"!!

Your birthday is the same time I was estimated to be born 66 years ago (I was a few weeks late). Happy birthday month and a good year ahead.

Re: Inconsistent Keto-Mojo Results-Discouraged!

Linda, when I was having such low readings, the company thought I wasn't putting an ample drop of blood. During that period, I had frequent error readings. Now I make sure I have a dripping drop to place on the strip once the coded number pops up.

Re: Inconsistent Keto-Mojo Results-Discouraged!

Linda, I had low readings on the first two batches but now my third batch I consistently have 1.2-1.7 . Puzzling as my fast, diet, weight, exercise and supplements have not changed. I have also noticed that my blood glucose is lower (61-76) during this last batch testing , so possibly something has ...

Re: LDL-C[measured] = Lp(a)-C + LDL-C[true]

Actually half of women my age are predicted to have a zero calcium score. I recommend obtaining your previous scan (unless it was zero) and consider a follow-up. Tincup has been able to halt the progression of a low number.

Re: LDL-C[measured] = Lp(a)-C + LDL-C[true]

Brian, like me, you run an extremely high HDL, low TG and negative FH of CHD. Have you had a coronary calcium scan? Do others in your family run a high lp(a)? Once I read that a high HDL can interfere with the lp(a) measurement, but I can't find the reference. I don't think measuring the mass size o...

Re: Flu vaccines dangerous?

Mercury-free (no perservative) have been mandated in California for children and pregnant women for over a decade now. Most clinics simply give the same shot to everyone. Developing influenza can cause major inflammation, hence in my case, a reactivation of herpes simplex virus. Check with your prov...

Re: High Blood Pressure related to HRT?

Back in 2003, the Women's Initiative Study results pointed towards cardiovascular risks for older women starting estrogen and progesterone (this was the synthetic version). The criticism of the study was that hormones were started to women over age 60, years post-menopause, hence most likely already...

Re: Hormone Replacement Therapy E4 Women

Thanks for the info Wills Meme. I found this from The WHI study: "Cognitive and Dementia Risks/Benefits with HT Several observational studies and meta-analysis had suggested that estrogen prescribed to younger women at the onset of menopause decreases the risk of Alzheimer's disease or delays ...
