Re: Lipo a
I should have labeled the 75 mg at Lab Corp and 205 nmol/L, both double normal. Just to add to confusion, once Quest reported zero ("not detected") lp(a), but after this report, the result has been consistently 150-200. As expected, no change with statins, niacin, lysine or vitamin C. Once...

Re: Lipo a
I think NF52 is correct that we will have a much better understanding about lp(a) in a few more years; since I suspect there is multiple types of lp(a), the larger size perhaps not so pathogenic. Like Jcmain, I was quite upset with a lp(a) of 205 on Quest and 75 on LabCorp until I had my 101 y/o 3/4...

Re: The Sleep Apnea Test and Treatment Encouragement Thread!
Thank you so much for this thread! I had my dentist make me an apnea device last month, as I've had trouble sleeping for a while and suspected apnea. I saw a sleep doctor last summer who basically told me that I did not have apnea because I was not an obese man. I am a 49-year old woman, 5'4, 112 l...

Re: The Sleep Apnea Test and Treatment Encouragement Thread!
My in-home test. .. circular, do you remember what test you used? Thanks! Thanks Daymoo for resurrecting this thread. IMHO every aging E4 should be tested, particularly with a small jaw, larger tonsils, larger neck, etc...as the majority of old Swedish women had sleep apnea. Treatment has been a li...

Re: Dr. Peter Attia on Longevity Compounds, Fasting, Supplements and More (Kevin Rose Podcast)
At around 7 minutes, Dr. Peter Attia describes a male with a repeatedly high estradiol level (300) on the commonly used Eliza testing method, but normal on the mass spec testing method. Does this have any implications for female estradiol testing? Did this male have an unusual protein bound estradiol?

Re: herpes & alzheimers.
My almost 101 y/o 3/4 mom had bouts of HZV lip sores for decades. She stockpiled acyclovir and used it even when she thought she needed to ward off another outbreak. Unexpectedly she has not had any HZV in the last few years. She functions with assistance and is conversational with many friends. Now...

Your birthday is the same time I was estimated to be born 66 years ago (I was a few weeks late). Happy birthday month and a good year ahead.

Re: Inconsistent Keto-Mojo Results-Discouraged!
Linda, when I was having such low readings, the company thought I wasn't putting an ample drop of blood. During that period, I had frequent error readings. Now I make sure I have a dripping drop to place on the strip once the coded number pops up.

Re: Inconsistent Keto-Mojo Results-Discouraged!
Linda, I had low readings on the first two batches but now my third batch I consistently have 1.2-1.7 . Puzzling as my fast, diet, weight, exercise and supplements have not changed. I have also noticed that my blood glucose is lower (61-76) during this last batch testing , so possibly something has ...
