Re: Hormone Replacement Therapy E4 Women

Um....just rethought my question, I wonder if the magic ratio is evidence based or just a guess.... I don't know, but suspect it's experiential and not evidence based. Sorry to go about this piecemeal, but here is a link from ZHT lab concerning ratio. http://blog.zrtlab.com/progesterone-estradiol-p...

Re: Hormone Replacement Therapy E4 Women

Improved cognition in women in 70’s with AD using 0.1 estradiol patch Slacker, I so appreciate your work for these detailed notes and references. This appears to be 0.1mcg/day patch, which is 10 times my dosage at 0.014mcg/day. Possibly I'm not in the neuroprotective range as noted in this study Ho...

Stavia wrote:Please may I ask for clarification- did she mean the dose should be 1:5 or the blood levels 1:5?

I'm confident it's blood levels; otherwise it would be a piece of cake!

Re: Hormone Replacement Therapy E4 Women

I am finally getting around to posting a summary of the "HRT Controversies" talk given by Dr Ann Hathaway at Dr Bredesen's training for providers on the Bredesen 3.0 protocol in July 2016. Links to references are my best guess from her Townsend Letter (link below). Since this post is not s...

Re: LDL particle size

Hey Bulldog; I agree with Stavia that if IR is concern, the HgbA1C and fasting insulin are helpful. Trigs are one marker for IR, but not the whole story. The other tests will add to the big picture. My brother with AD has a A1C around 5.3%, but trigs over 250. His insulin has not been checked. Anoth...

Re: What are the diagnostic criteria for "dementia"?

Alysson, I don't think the diagnosis that Julie's doctor is using ("mild cognitive impairment, so stated") is going to be any improvement to the one your doctor used as far as long term care coverage is concerned. I specifically asked my new doctor not to document my ApoE4 status (she was ...

Re: my ApoE4 story so far

Hey RU - Thanks for the vote of confidence! Your results have been amazing - huge high 5 for you! Bravo! The reason the doctors can't believe the major improvements in your labs 1) most people (including doctors) don't know what to do to fix them, and 2) most people aren't willing to make the change...

Re: Correlation between Cholesterol & Alzheimer's

Full article on trigs / Amyloid studies states we investigated the association between serum levels of various lipid measures including TC, HDL-C, LDL- C, TG, apolipoprotein A1 (APOA1), apolipoprotein B (APOB), and in vivo cerebral amyloidosis in cognitively normal (CN) elderly individuals. It also ...
