Maybe necessary for a very active and muscular 90kg man. I personally wouldnt eat that amount of animal protein. Sent f...

Re: Dr. Rhonda: Get some DHA in phospholipid form

Biochemistry is hideously complex. A change in one direction could lead to multiple consequences.

Re: I guess I'll be taking a statin

Whatnext: I personally do not prescribe statins in a woman who has not had a previous heart attack but with a slightly high TC without evidence such as a coronary calcium scan or angiogram.

Re: Plasmalogens- exciting new evidence

Plumster, that one has a very tiny dose of 1mg a day. Dr Goodenowe emailed me and Julie to say that in his opinion, both doses are too low. He said: "We expect the long-term prevention dose in humans to be between 500-1000mg/day." He will hopefully respond himself in this thread. Sent from...

Re: Men with BPH and APOE4

Ps. You need to screen 1000 men for 10 years with prostate cancer screening to save at best one life - reduce mortality from 5 men in a cohort of 1000 men x10yrs to 4 men. Thats possibly one life saved per 10000 man/years. And a one hundred to a couple hundred men are made impotent and incontinent. ...
