Re: advanced glycation end products
Nice that your figuring that out! I'm a bit keener on fermented veggies. I'll take a look at the Shockey's book. I use the top of my fridge and countertop for the vegetables, etc. but this could come in handy in colder months for ferments that need constant warmer temps that are hard to achieve oth...

Re: advanced glycation end products
I've been wondering if I can ferment with it. Here are the pure silicone pouches I'm using for my individual servings, but I wonder what donbob uses for a whole roast? I also don't want to use plastic, so I looked for "pure" silicone. A lot of silicone products have other things mixed in....

As far as low temperature cooking, look into 'sous vide'. I use it often. In fact, my sous vide has been running at 135F for the last five days. The food has been changed and consumed/frozen, but something has been cooking continuously. It produces very tender protein given the proper time. I bough...

Re: List of dairy that's non-inflammatory
In my attempts to figure out what lifestyle changes I need to make to optimize my health-span, especially given my 4/4 status, I'm wondering what to do about dairy. I LOVE dairy, and used to drink well over a gallon a week before I started my keto diet in an attempt to optimize my health. And I can...

I'm using a slightly warmed saline rinse with one pump of liquid Biocidin (not intended for long term use), a pinch of L-glutamine powder, and a 1/2 tsp of kimchi juice. I love that you are adding Kimchi juice! I read an article about how some batches of kimchi juice contain a bacteria that combats...

I’m sorry to hear this! It’s a bummer, isn’t it? But it’s great that you noted significant reduction of inflammation and bloating. Are you off the ketogenic diet now? Your use of the past tense suggests so. I’m still on it, but I need to better feed my gut microbiome, so I periodically consider goi...

Re: August Seattle Meet-up
Hi, everybody, The weather forecast doesn't look great but hey, they're often wrong. Let's decide it will be sunny! Please meet at 1 pm sharp this coming Sunday just inside the gate at the Ballard Locks (west on NW Market Street and then slight left at the Taco Time). Then you will see the parking ...
