Re: NY Times article on theory that parasitic infection may be reason APOE4 was once protective

Thank you, Chris. About 1/2 way through the article I was considering taking a quick stroll down to our local stream and taking a few big gulps, which could almost certainly guarantee me both giardia parasites and bacterial infections. Re: A case for routine mid-life brain MRIs?

Congratulations, Circular. No change since 2008, sounds excellent! Maybe sometime I will become brave enough to get an MRI. I appreciate your insight into its being " best for those with specific concerns or those who are motivated more than scared by finding out maybe they're not in ideal shap...

Re: Mentally Stimulating Activities in Late Life, MCI, and APOE4 Genotype

I don't know if the set up for non-subscribers is still the same as it was, but before signing up, I had limited access which allowed me to try out and sample much of what is offered. I was able to play different games on different days. (And I kept being offered better and better deals to sign up. )

Re: Diet help. Please post what is working for you!

Hello eap1992, I am eating enormous salads most days. Out of curiosity , I just filled the bowl I use with water and measured it: 5 CUPS. So I would say my usual salad is 4-5 cups of raw vegetables. in addition to leafy greens, cabbage, carrots, radicchio and whatever else I have in the veggie bin (...
