Re: Prolon Mimicking Diet

To be honest, I'd agree with Tincup's advice. Subject to meds, just do a water fast, it's MUCH easier (and cheaper, I think the ProLon was £300!) and vastly more effective.Hunger disappears on day two or three. Just drink lots of San Pellegrino and take a pinch of salt in it occasionally.

Re: Prolon Mimicking Diet

For me, there were too many carbs in the ProLon diet. You can adjust according to body weight, but I never really got into ketosis. I was using a ketone meter.

Re: Prolon Mimicking Diet

Circ, I don't know a whole lot about fasting, other than from doing my own fasting. Tincup has much more info.

Maybe the link to the Jason Fung blog above will help!

Re: Prolon Mimicking Diet

http://agingadvice.org/FMD-Recipes.html I'd agree with Tincup, fasting is VASTLY easier! Just drink lots of sparkling water, with a pinch of salt added. I've done the diet above a few times and the real ProLon once. Honestly, you just feel hungry ALL the time! However, when water fasting, hunger dis...

Re: Pathogenic tau/ cognitive impairment precipitated by high-salt diet

Interesting. That much salt would impact the water balance of solutions and cells, including those in the brain. It's just a guess, but that could be one of many causes. And it would not matter much, in that cause, what type of salt it was. Fiver, Sorry, I don't understand what youre saying, can yo...

Re: Date Seed and Pomegranate Juice for Cholesterol Reduction

Jeepers, thanks for all the suggestions! That cream sounds great, I'll see if I can get it in Europe, or something similar. That website is great, Tincup! The two PT guys on the Videos page showed the supraspinatus tendon and I'd an MRI that showed that that tendon may be inflamed. They wanted to do...
