Curious to know if you are talking about using knee sleeves and similar compression attire or something else to restrict blood flow while working out?

Re: Sleep!

I too am 65 and started HRT a few months ago on a very low dose, Biest 1mg: Pro 40mg. I have not taken hormones before. I soon noticed not feeling as peaceful and calm. Maybe less libido. You did not mention testosterone supplementation. I don't know what others who take bHRT think about this subje...

Re: Supplements are taking over my life LOL!

I didn't measure copper, zinc, magnesium or B1. You might not want to take 30 mg of zinc everyday if you don't know what your copper/zinc balance is. If you are already 1:1, which is what Bredesen recommends, or in surplus (more zinc than copper), taking 30 mg of zinc each day might drive your copp...

Re: Supplements are taking over my life LOL!

I am on 22 daily, 2 of which are for detox so will go away. This is all based on extensive tests from my FMP and she is shooting for Bredesen targets I believe. I figure I am around the $300 range per month using Fullscript (your MD needs to subscribe you), which also provides a 15% discount on eve...

Re: Supplements are taking over my life LOL!

tlovesa: I log everything I eat on cronometer.com. I have used it to educate myself on the nutrient content of foods and replace some of the supplements I was taking with food sources. For instance, instead of supplementing with calcium, which is dangerous, I drink two cups of goat milk and eat an o...

Re: RE: Re: Talking about Diet

Note: I edited this post after reading the thread on Dr. Lyon's higher protein recommendations. xactly I continued this conversation in the ' Dr. Gabriel Lyon - Benefits of High Protein ' thread I'd started so I don't swamp the OP with minutia. I added a paper I found that provides some science tha...

Re: RE: Re: Talking about Diet

I don't know about the too much protein turns to fat comment. This is a really interesting question. The WHO recommends protein intake of 0.8 g per day per gram of bodyweight. I have been roughly using 1g per kg of bodyweight as a guideline, since I do Crossfit 5 days per week. However, Gundry reco...

Re: Vitamin E and genotype.

Orangeblossom, I can't comment on GSTP1 or the study linked, but here's Neal Barnard on why vitamin E should come from foods rather than a supplement. Thanks for posting the link to Neal Barnard's video. I have the same polymorphism Orangeblossom has, and I also learned that from Rhonda Patrick's r...

Sleep and Folate

I am now looking to find a product to get the B5 and B6. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My FM doctor recommended Cortico. Anyone know anything about it? Did the doctor give you a recommended dose for B5 and B6? Pure Encapsulations B Complex Plus already has 100mg of B5, which is what Dr. Bre...

bacopa experiences?

I, too, have been taking an increasing stack of supplements. I became alarmed a few days ago about a sudden, significant increase in cognitive errors and difficulty with focus, so I scaled back on supplements to see if any of them might be the cause. I stopped taking ashwagandha, bacopa, alpha lipoi...
