Re: Want to provide input on Alzheimer's research funding?

Wow, congratulations NF52 and Fiver. I am definitely a consumer of information here and I can attest to the quality of support NF and Fiver provide- two very bright and compassionate people. I am so honored to be a member of this site.

don't know where to start

My 67 year old brother was diagnosed yesterday with AD after a battery of tests. I do not know his genetic status. All the tests were normal except for brain atrophy. Now, I am an MRI Technologist and I see people with brain atrophy but no cognitive decline. I recommended the MIND diet as I think it...

Re: Detox / Cleanse / Water Fast?

I personally drink a green juice daily after my workout. It's completely vegetable juice. (kale, cilantro or parsley, bok choy, ginger, celery, maybe collard greens. It's low calorie. My heavy metals panel was pretty good. I cannot say that's what helped for sure but I have been doing it for over 20...

Re: Is there any hope after getting these results at age65?

Hello Scared: It is very normal to be scared when you first know your status. For a few months my emotions were all over the place. I was wondering about that too, it is just distressing to see those numbers, is it really OK and isn't it the same mechanism as real IR ? Maybe the real benefit is lower insulin despite the higher blood glucose? In any event I like better the term Glucose Sparing than PIR.

LIOTHYRONINE AND FBG

I have noticed that my fbg is higher than it used to be a month ago. My readings have been 99, 102, 110, 107. Normal readings for me are 88-93. I am blaming it on the T3 I started taking a couple of months ago, but it could be a number of things. I fast 12-15 hrs. My activity level is high with 4 da...

Health Coaches

I have a question for the health coaches on this site. I am considering entering the Health Coaching Program at the FMCA, and figured it would be helpful if some of you might share your experience with the program. I see that some of you went on to enroll in the Cognitive Decline Course which I also...
