Re: Anyone noticing Anti-Cholinergic-like symptoms with Progesterone?

Circular: "I strongly suspect progesterone has a different mechanism to produce that effect. It would be on the Beer’s List of anticholinergic medicines. I’m very sensitive to anticholinergics. In my case they will always affect my urination too. Also some (many?) herbs touted for relaxation ar...

Re: Anyone noticing Anti-Cholinergic-like symptoms with Progesterone?

Do you take it in the evening before going to bed? If you don't like the sleepiness, you could switch to a progesterone cream instead? Yes - take it along with other supplements at bedtime and I enjoy the calming and super relaxing effects and need to get to bed as soon as the wooziness begins, but...

Anyone noticing Anti-Cholinergic-like symptoms with Progesterone?

BHRT is the only prescribed medication I take in addition to many vitamins/supplements, but I'm noticing a woozy feeling similar to when a sleeping medication begins to take effect. It is micronized Progesterone by BionPharma. I very rarely even take anything known to carry an anti-cholinergic burde...

Re: Indianapolis area meetup

Command decision here! Let's make it March 19th, for dinner & get together and Dale and I will confer on a place that has options for eating and a more private area. Does the time frame of 5:00-7:00 or 5:00-7:30 seem like a good time? Punch says she can make dinner on that day and still trying ...

Re: reversing early memory loss - CURCUMIN!?!

Results of various trials of several different types of curcumin and quite a bit of information re: how it is absorbed are on the curcumin profile at Consumer Lab. I realized, after the fact that I should have posted this info in another thread more closely related to curcumin. I'm new at all of thi...

Re: reversing early memory loss

fahd--There is an organization called Consumer Lab that rates the different sources of supplements. I do not have a membership, but I think some others on this forum might, and could comment. I looked up curcumin for you and it does not look like they evaluated the CVS brand, so there may not be an...

Re: Anybody else have PROSOPAGNOSIA???

FWIW, I have a mild case of prosopagnosia: I constantly have to ask my husband during movies or series with standard-issue actors "is that the same person...?" while I never have to ask who Frances McDormand or Clint Eastwood is! I'm thrilled when I meet someone with distinctive features,...

Re: Anybody else have PROSOPAGNOSIA???

Exodus, prosopagnosia is not pathognomonic of Alzheimer's disease (pardon the French). That means it's not, on its own, sufficient evidence of Alzheimer's. Why not? Because it can be caused by anything that affects the relevant part of the brain. In this case, that's probably the right fusiform gyr...

Anybody else have PROSOPAGNOSIA???

Prosopagnosia is a fifty-dollar word meaning FACE BLINDNESS! I have had this for many years (probably 20) and from what I've read, mine is not nearly as severe as some who cannot recognize their own family members. It is serious enough to really handicap me when it comes to remembering that I've met...

Re: Newbie INTRO - Exodus es nee2/12/2018

Hi Exodus, many families find that moving from "mandated" Birth-21 services to "eligible" adult services is incredibly difficult and ultimately far from satisfying. PS - really neat thing that has helped us a lot is a discrete department in our Children's Hospital - a whole staf...
