Re: Olive Oil Brands

I recently switched from Amphora Nueva to Costco's Kirland brand as a trial, based on Kirland being much cheaper (even after our discount) and at the top of ConsumerLab's report for polyphenols and oleic acid. I was a bit concerned it might not be as fresh as Amphora, but I decided to give it a try...

Re: Vitamin A protects cognition in E4 carriers

Thanks for sharing this Julie! I am TT for the rs12934922 SNP. I appear to not be deficient in any of the others. A big part of why I eat sweet potato is that they are absolutely loaded with vitamin A. 1 cup of sweet potato has nearly 19,000 IU of Vitamin A. Happy to help! I think this may be impor...

Re: Peter Attia podcast - Advancing Alzheimers disease treatment

Gonzalez-Lima also seems to be cautiously optimistic about using exogenous ketones to help provide energy to the brain as glucose uptake becomes compromised. I'd really like to learn more about this and it sounds like it's an area where he will continue to do research.

Re: Peter Attia podcast - Advancing Alzheimers disease treatment

One easy thing to track is blood pressure. According to Dr Gonzalez-Lima being below 120/80 seems beneficial as higher blood pressure seems to damage the endothelial walls.

Re: Peter Attia podcast - Advancing Alzheimers disease treatment

I listened to it once this morning and will surely listen many more times. I was interested to see the vascular component discussed. I don't have anything to add at this time but am interested in following along with the discussion on the forum. Thanks for posting and getting the conversation started!

Re: APOE 3/4 - Gundry Protocol - Elevated LDL-P and APO-B

Hello dyacubo, I just replied to your private message and gave you an overview of what I am doing right now. I will get my lipids checked again in late February and will update once I have some new data to share. If this private conversation is useful for the two of you, it most likely would benefi...

Re: Not all Omega 3's are the same...?

It tends to work best in sushi. I agree it is very difficult to eat on it's own. I get some periodically from a local health store and I take it like medicine, a spoonful that I down as quickly as possible.
